Excerpt from Drudge Report:
U.S. Rep. Martin T. Meehan (D-MA) scoffed at reports Air Force One was targeted by terrorists - the reason Bush aides have put forth to explain why the president delayed his return to Washington after Tuesday's attack on the Pentagon. 'I don't buy the notion Air Force One was a target,' said Meehan. 'That's just PR. That's just spin'...
(202) 225-3411 Meehan office number...

I e-mailed him and let him have it. Everyone should call or e-mail. Let him have it big time.

I suggest a call where the following message is left for the Honorable Representative Meehan:
"Until either (i) you make a public apology for your inapproriate and scandalous comment or (ii) the day I die, I will be writing as large a check as I can afford to whomever is your future campaign opponent."

Chris Matthews on MSNBC was saying the exact same thing last night.....he also questioned why the Vice President was "squirreling" away at Camp David.

I haven't been able to get through to this slimeball's office yet, but you can try to use the House switchboard (1-800-648-3516).

FYI to the contact post above.
I've heard it before from some staffers' own mouths - E-MAIL is the LOWEST on the "pay attention" scale for these people for communication from outside the office. Hard copy (i.e. letters and faxes) AND phone calls get heeded. E-mail, especially from non-constituents either gets ignored or gets deleted straight into the "trash" box.

From a former MassHole and now a New Hampshire-ite. Be careful... only invite conservatives. We have enough liberal MassHoles here now... lol

Rep. Richard Neal (D-Springfield) was also quoted heavily in that same article...he deserves a verbal ass-whupping also. I NEVER heard of this little pipsqueak Neal, and he's talking about how great Cinton was after the OKC bombing. Well, Mr. Neal, he was the REASON for the OKC bombing that killed all those inocent people...he and Janet Reno...and may she NEVER stick up her ugly head again for any race! This is WAR!

Who would expect anything less coming out of Massachusetts? Remember, this is the state that gave us that murderer Ted Kennedy. Let's not forget that two of the planes came from Boston and according to early reports, the hijackers spent time in that state planning this attack. I urge everyone to call, write, fax and ask for their resignation immediately. We can't afford to have idiots like this getting press time. Now, is the most important time for EVERYONE to be behind our President.

We should haunt this guy to the end of his term. We shall never forget. He needs to be made an example of so all the other RATS don't even think of critizing Bush and giving comfort to our enemies. Are you planning on freeping his office?
To: NotJustAnotherPrettyFace
They won't be able to ignore THIS volume of e-mail. Trust me.

I was listening to the radio on the way into work this morning and they had Meehan on to explain his comments. Of course he denied everything! The best part was when they went to calls from listeners. Meehan fielded 4 or 5 calls and every one of the callers chewed him a new asshole. It was great!!!!!!

Please read my posts directly above (thank you!), and keep this advice (from congressional staffers themselves) in mind when contacting members of the US House and Senate.
To: Constitution Day
We cannot let him get away with such unpatriotic rhetoric at a time like this. I have e-mailed him and CCed: my representatives in the Senate and Congress and suggest everyone do the same.
To: twntaipan
Emailed Meehan that if he thinks President Bush is doing such a poor job he ought to get an interview with bin Laden in the next couple of days so he could sit there along side him listening to that sweet sound of those 2000 pounders coming in. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeBOOOM!

Dealing with phone calls requires time and effort and involves personal interaction. Definitely the way to go...
