>>If you're too mad to discuss the issues sanely, then please step aside. We've got trouble. <<

What the HELL are you talking about? I've been called a traitor myself just yesterday for posting this! I post it to try and calm down the lunatics who want to nuke the whole freaking world. They want to rant and rave about "innocent civilians, women and children being murdered by the Islamic bombers",yet they flat-out tell you they don't care how many Islamic women and children get killed by these nukes because "nobody in any country that has supported terrorists is innocent.". These yahoos are talking about nuking civilian population centers like Kabul and Baghdad, yet you say *I'm* not acting sanely?

Thanks for clearing that up. I apologize for my mistake. I'm getting more than a little "testy" myself. I was just called a coward on another thread by a closet commando who wants to incinerate everybody in the mideast with nukes. Of course, being the brave man that he is,somebody else will be doing this for him while he sits at home drinking beer and watching it on tv.

To be honest,I've just about had it with FR. If these lunatics don't calm down in another day or two,I'm outta here. No way do I want to be associated with a bunch of looners who want to make Stalin and Hitler combined look like drive-by shooters.

Conspiracy (in Germany) to commit terrorism (anywhere) is a criminal act.

If I may for just a moment. The problem *I* (and probably many others) have at this moment, is that MANY Islamic nations have stated that "any American" is a target whether doemstic or overseas. As far as nuking some of the countries off the map, it depends on the country and whether that country is going to continue sponsoring terrorists. Should we nuke the entire middle east into glass? Nope. HOWEVER, we also need to make some serious retributive strikes against terrorist strongholds. The problem as I see it, is that "we" play by the rules, (most of the time) but no one else does. If there are civilian casualties, it isn't the fault of those that decide to take out Bin Laden, but those protecting him. Had we been concerned with the loss of "non-combatant" lives, there would have been no end to WWII in the Pacific, or in Europe. There comes a time when continue to fight "by the rules" becomes too costly in lives, funds, and patience. When that poit is reached, then you "take the will to fight" away from the enemy by going after population centers.

I agree with what you say,but these people I am complaining about want to go nuke right off the bat,and are talking about blanketing the whole country with nukes. I'm not for that and never will be for it.

BTW,I may not have been clear enough on my last post. I am STRONGLY oppossed to the first use of nukes, although I MIGHT be willing to make a exception in a case like bin Laden hiding in mountain caves in Afghanistan where there is no other practical way to get at him. In a case like that ONLY,I could go along with a tactical nuke of limited power. Even then,I would prefer to see a Ranger Battalion go in on the ground to bring his head out in a burlap sack for display on the WH fence.

Think about what you are saying DUMMY, the govt cannot shut down the country everytime some crackpot calls in with a threat or tip. If it did this country would cease to exist.

Clinton and his minions are much to blame for the position our intelligence agencies are in, having been rendered ineffective.

The past 8 years of this traitor's foreign policy will haunt this nation for years to come.

This is only the beginning....

VISA LOTTERY - supports

Gore voted in 1990 for the legislation (S. 358) which created this social engineering mechanism.

The Visa Lottery, also known as the Diversity Program, was created to make America more diverse. Each year the State Department randomly chooses around 50,000 from lottery entrants who live in countries considered insufficiently represented in American society. The Year 2000 crop includes countries such as Sudan, Pakistan and Jordan. Their invitation to America has nothing to do with valuable skills or family connections. They are merely fortunate.

Gore has not indicated recently whether he continues to support the lottery which the Barbara Jordan Commission determined should be shut down because it swells labor market competition for American workers without any regard to the skills and education of the immigrants or whether they show any proclivity for assimilating into American society. The lottery has helped fill American communities with new cultures that include diverse social practices such as female genital mutilation and "honor" killing.

I understand, and support that view. I ALSO feel that we should be able to give someone an ultimatum, and if our request/demand isn't met, then we should follow through with MILITARY might. We are the most powerful nation in the world, but we take this kind of crap from third rate tin-pot wearing dictators that should be practically below our notice. I'm furious about what happened, and am tired of our nation being cowed by the "sense of fair play" that we feel we have to live up to. Sometimes, if we don't fight dirty, they will continue to do things such as this and get away with it, knowing that we don't have the stomach for "civilian casualties". We need to make some of our own demands. The point is, is that this wasn't a CRIME, but an act of war. No nukes, but a couple of battalions of Marines/Army/etc, and a couple of squadrons of F-16s/F-18s/etc could go and land in Kabul and plant the American flag, then ask if there are any questions.

Respectfully, Lobo

The man in Germany wasn't trying to get in money he just was trying his best to warn the USA.

He must have really been insistant on calling the White House and CIA for the German government to let him to do it.

So our government can not say they were not warned. And we know they had serious warnings that something big was going to happen because the the "state of alert had been high during the past two weeks". And some top brass in the Pentagon had canceled a trip. Yet our government never bothered to warn the airports and never ordered them to heighten security.

SICKENING!

German police confirm Iranian deportee phoned warnings

online.ie 14 Sep 2001

The Irish Examiner

German police have confirmed an Iranian man phoned US police from his deportation cell to warn of the planned attack on the World Trade Centre.

The Lower Saxony Justice Ministry has confirmed the man warned of the impending series of terrorist attacks, but had not been believed.

Spokesman Frank Woesthoff said the man phoned America "several times", but refused to give further details.

He said the US Secret Service had not told the ministry about the calls received from the Langenhagen prison until after the attacks.

"I cannot say anything about the man and the ministry does not know the content of the conversations," he added.

The Hanover daily newspaper Neue Presse reported the 29-year-old was dismissed as mentally unstable when he gave the warning of a terrorist attack to occur this week.

The ministry would not reveal when the calls had been made.

How many of these "warnings" does the FBI get every week? every DAY? every hour???? Do we shut down the country every time someone has a warning?

Did we all forget (or do none of us know) about the Sept 7th worldwide warning on the state departments webpage???

Now its been replaced with a "worldwide caution" warning dated sept 12.

get real

With retrospection, the Saddam Insane Scud attacks on Israel during the Gulf War come to mind. Saddam was willing to risk nuclear retaliation to unify the Arab nations in his brand of Jihad. Yes, there may well be a connection to Osama and the Taliban, but my money is still on an Iraqi documents and false ID's trail, along with a combined effort by several terrorists organizations to try and bring US into a blind rage of indiscriminate retaliation upon any Arab or Muslim nation in order to unify the screaming Arab/Muslim masses in the 'mother of all wars' that Saddam wants to lead.

How do we counter such an insanity? By methodically uncovering the truth of whom is behind the WTC terrorism and precisely annihilating them and anyone that knowingly harbored them! We don't go off half-cocked, with blood in our eye and common sense and our rationality tossed aside. We do this war our way, with our values in tact, and with only ourselves to answer to. We will extract revenge in the course of digging out the rats and snakes and annihilating them and their networks and the ones whom harbor them, but we will do it in our time on our terms, not on Saddams or Osama's or Libya's terms.
