Man Arrested at Panama City, FL Airport!
My Dad! | September 13, 2001 | Me

Posted on 09/13/2001 6:01:09 PM PDT by Dems_R_Losers

Just talked to my Dad in Panama City who said they have arrested an Arab man trying to get into the Panama City Airport. He had a false German passport and was driving a rental car rented in Boca Raton. The bomb-sniffing dogs deployed at the parking entrance caught him. We figure these thugs are trying to find small town airports where they think the tougher security measures have not yet been implemented. I guess they don't know about Tyndall and Eglin Air Force bases right up the road from this airport! They don't mess around down on the Panhandle. I would guess they have either active or former military manning security at all the airports around that part of Florida now.

I hope he didn't stumble or fall to much while resisting arrest.

Arutz 7 reports

2. WTC TERRORISTS LINKED TO FATAH, HIZBULLAH

Information leading to the identities of the hijackers and their possible sponsors continues to be collected by the FBI in the U.S. It is now assumed that about 50 people were involved in the planning and execution of the attacks, all of them Arabs from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the Gulf Emirates. The footprints lead not only to Bin-Laden, but also to Hizbullah and Fatah, according to Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa. He said that he American Justice Department officials had told him that the terrorists are assumed to have had ties not only with Bin-Laden, but with "groups like Fatah and Hizbullah," and that they received extensive help from Arabs living in the United States.

A number of attacks on mosques and Moslem facilities in the United States were recorded last night. Some 300 people were stopped by the police from raiding a mosque in a Chicago suburb, and windows were broken in a Texas mosque. A firebomb was thrown at a mosque in Montreal, Canada, and five girls with Arab names were attacked. Similar reports have been received from Russia.

Arutz 7 reports an interview with AP Bureau Chief Dan Perry: 8. P.A. THREATS PREVENT FILMING OF FOOTAGE Yasser Arafat's Tanzim kidnapped the cameraman who filmed a report for AP showing Palestinians in Ramallah celebrating the attacks against the United States. The report includes footage of Palestinian police firing their assault rifles in the air in celebration as hundreds cheer. The cameraman was released this morning, but not before the Associated Press protested to the Palestinian Authority about threats against the cameraman in the event the footage was screened. Ahmed Abdel Rahman, Arafat's Cabinet secretary, said the Palestinian Authority "cannot guarantee the life" of the cameraman if the footage is broadcast.

Dr. Aaron Lerner asked AP Bureau Chief Dan Perry today whether his office would release the video of joyous Palestinians celebrating the attack on the World Trade Center. Perry answered, "We are acting to assure the safety of our staff. The safety of our staff is paramount. At this point we believe there to be a serious threat to our staff if the video is released and we have protested this to the PA."

Another member of Congress who doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. We are at war people. So shut up.

He had just heard it on the local radio station and called me. I will try to get confirmation and post a source as soon as I can. There is a TV station there that has website if I can find it.

I can't go along with doing anything to anybody in this country unless they are found guilty of something. (If they are here legally, if they are not legal give them the boot.) If they are guilty of aid to the people responsible for the attacks, they should be found guilty of treason. Until that time it should be hands off. Except for the American Indians, we are all the decendents of people from other lands. Give them a break.

I live N of PC. I just scanned several local radio and the local TV stations.

None of them had anything on about this. That doesn't mean it didn't happen but so far I haven't heard anything.

That's usually true....local radio has the story first, before it makes networks, news websites.

With every arrest, it's just one less...but there is so much More that needs to be done!

The bomb-sniffing dogs deployed at the parking entrance caught him.

Maybe what we need are ARAB-sniffing dogs. They could be trained to be racial-profiling-sniffing dogs: Arab males, 20-40 years old, holding foreign passports. The most highly trained dogs might even be able to detect forged documents. OTOH, thinking how much these people hate pigs, perhaps we need to train pigs instead of dogs.

Turns out to be a false alarm.

According to local TV, an Egyptian professional stopped at a local nursing home to make a phone call. He mistakenly thought it was a hospital. After local police questioned him thoroughly, he was sent on his way.
