Clinton did have his opportunity to lead. The most important long range financial issue of our times, the conversion of social security from a pay as you go Ponzi scheme to a true savings program for individuals, he ignored so Democrats could run for office by frightening senior citizens. Welfare reform he signed in desperation, facing a veto override. On national security he talked big, but did absolutely nothing about Khobar and USS Cole. Clinton was a frivolous and inconsequential president, who left a mess behind for others to clean up. And this is not even to mention his deep corruption.

clinton really did...but instead of telling Americans the truth about the terrorist attacks he had them covered up. TWA800, OKCB....clinton was never a leader...instead Hillary tried to be but failed miserably.
