THE LAST CLEAR BLUE SKY. (I hope!)

One of the most irritating peeves, that has disturbed me for years, is the inability to see a clear blue sky. There’s always one, and often times several of those darn condensation trails from jets flying high in our atmosphere.

But yesterday there wasn’t.

All I saw yesterday was the clearest, bluest sky that I’ve ever seen. I mused at it in wonderment.

I can’t tell you how bad I feel about it, wishing for such a moment. And never has the adage ‘Be careful what you wish for’ been truer, or more painful.

This is my hope, and not my wish, and it is that I never see a clear blue sky again!

We keep praying to hear the planes again.....we live under the flight path to Newark Airport. Often I have complained about the noise.....today I pray for it to come back. I heard that they were going to allow planes to land today and I was comforted by that.

Same feeling here. I miss seeing the Boston - NYC shuttles. Just spooky quiet all day yesterday, except for a spectacular F-15 banking within view at one point. Ironically, now I can definitely tell the difference between the approaching sound of a commercial jet and a military one, that's for sure.

The sky here usually has several at any given time. Even the starry nights without the blinking lights and sounds of being overflown is stirring.
