[history]
AS all Americans grapple with the painful fact of our national complacency in the face of terrorism, America's chattering and scribbling classes are going to face a reckoning of their own - an accounting of their complacency and willful blindness in the face of a growing evil. Tuesday, both before and after the planes hit the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, two elite American institutions offered stark portraits of the complacency that helped lure this nation into a false sense of security.

All you need to know about the New York Times:
Quote:
At one level, it's easy enough to explain the liberal bias on controversial social issues now dominant at the Times. It's all part of a deliberate decision to make the Times a vehicle for (rather than a record of) social change, a policy instituted by the Times's new publisher, Arthur "Pinch" Sulzberger Jr. Pinch was a sixties anti-war activist who famously declared that in a confrontation between an American and a North Vietnamese soldier he'd want to see the American get shot.
Unquote.

The NYT is not good enough to wipe your clymer. Ignore it. No, do not ignore them. Arouse the citizenry against these anti-Americans and shame the Sulzberger family into firing this left-wing anti-American sack of human excreta.
Sulzberger's father, the former publisher, is an ex-Marine. (And the probable source of the above quote.)
Mr Sulzberger, for the sake of your country and the honor of your family remove your son from management of your family's newspaper.

I think when the reality of this horror sinks in, some of these lefties may change their ideology. If not, put up on a raft.

Well you know why the Dems are complaining about missile defense. Because nobody was buying their constant cry of Florida and they needed a new one. Their Florida whine was becoming so high pitched that only dogs could hear it. What missile defense has to do with the terrorist attacks is beyond me. I guess I would understand if I did the same drugs they use.

On Tuesday morning, the media elites still found it acceptable - even admirable to see the world through the prism of the anti-Vietnam, anti-American left. The left used the war to divide the country. The useful idiots were just cowards who did not want to go fight. That is understandable but cowardly. Courage is doing what you fear doing and they failed the test. Since then they try to justify their actions rather than admit their cowardness. Moral relativism is the result. Perhaps now we can better appreciate those who did fight and properly label those who didn't.

These media outlets are the same ones who sway the soccer moms to stop DODGEBALL on the playgrounds because it might hurt little Johnies feelings...and stop keeping SCORE because it huts little Jessica's self esteem. We cannot fight a war with citizens like these medias whores and wusses.....the nattering and the chattering classes....PUKE!

This would be par for the course. Remember, this is the same NY Times that praised Josef Stalin, even while he was starving millions of his own people in the Ukraine. The NY Times is not known for its good judge of character. In fact, they seem to always get it wrong. If you're a contrarian, you'd think 180% degress from the NYT and be right 99% of the time!
To: Ann Archy
The Times has been particularly harsh on our President.
Too bad no one in his administration hasn't yet asked one of their reporters:
"How can you work for someone who favored the killing of American soldiers?"

Aculeus, You are right on the mark. A high colonic needs to be performed on the NYT,as well as on ABCCBSNBCNBCMSNBCPBS and all the other rags that spew their leftist views. They all need to be jack-slapped and buried whenever they print or broadcast their mis-information. I hope the citizenry wakes up and realizes what a job the "mainstream" media had done on this country now.

One of the local leftie radio talk show hosts got religion on Tuesday.
She's ready to rain fire and brimstone on "innocent" people.
I love it when liberals get religion.

Why not cut and paste the quote in Reply #3?
Use it frequently on FR and elsewhere so that the public understands what ideology now controls America's 'Newspaper of Record.'

It is interesting that the left goes to great extremes to make sure no one hurts another's feelings, yet, they are the meanest, most ruthless political infighters. Of course, a large, thick book could be filled with examples of their hypocrisy. It can be confusing unless you are aware that they don't believe what they preach, they preach it for the neferious purposes of their agenda to gain power over us all. PC and their other bs is to promote moral relativism in order to confuse and negate our long held values, values which have kept them at bay for years and unless destroyed will prevent them from ever taking over.

I know we need to concentrate on positive support for our Country right now, but please look at my links on #19, and spread the word. It is the very nature of this attitude that is destroying America!
