[history]
The most extraordinary news event of the century became an overnight reflection of the American soul as initial media coverage gave way to collective emotional reaction.
Stories reverberated with visceral expressions of outrage, anguish, anxiety and fierce resolve from a huge swath of the population: politicians, eyewitnesses, pundits, heartland farmers -- all had their say in what was almost universally billed as "The Day After."

I have to tell you that my two stepdaughters, who I have referred to sneeringly in the past on this very forum as "The Princesses," have called me a hundred times since this happened.....and they are SO INTO THIS......they are ready for the slash and burn method.
They have mostly ignored and tolerated my "politics" for these years, but now they want to know everything I know in five minutes!!!
And they are flying their flags!

"Armageddon, A great country. A great tragedy. A great pain," said Moscow's daily Izvestia, One of the first things to cross my mind was what would Moscow's reaction be if this had happened to the Kremlin?

These people attempted to kill the President.. even if he was in Florida. This is an assassination attempt, and its getting very little comment.

what would Moscow's reaction be if this had happened to the Kremlin? For all practical purposes, it has happened to the Kremlin. Osama bin Ladin is where the Chechens get their money. That's why Putin is so anxious to cheer Bush on. "Let's you and him fight!"

This is our opportunity to rescue the good name of Nationalism.

What ticks me off is old Bill is probably sitting on his butt somewhere in Australia bawling his eyes out because he wanted to be a 'wartime president.' He sure set up the stage for war.

Bill is probably sitting on his butt somewhere in Australia bawling his eyes out because he wanted to be a 'wartime president.' Believe it!
And he & his worshippers, shills, & enablers would have used it as a pretext to strip-mine America of her freedoms, liberty, and valour. Thank God he's gone!
