This is an amazing story!

I bet the FBI is pressuring AP and various papers that had it posted on their sites and ready to print tonight/morning to pull it..???

The FBI has known all this before so why didn't they look into this and act more before?

Especially since bin Laden was threatening something really big just a couple weeks ago!

Please

These people were still functioning under the previous administration's rules. They forgot we got a new President in January. And ... a new FBI director - who appears to be doing a really bang-up job.

FBI turns to Internet for clues in Tuesday's attacks

WASHINGTON (AP) - The FBI is serving search warrants to major Internet service providers in order to get information about an e-mail address believed to be connected to Tuesday's terrorist attacks.

Investigators visited the nation's top Internet access companies Wednesday morning, company officials said.

"They wanted to know what we have on our network, and our logs about this (e-mail) address, if that address has flowed through our network at any time," according to an executive at Atlanta-based Earthlink, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The executive said the e-mail address did not belong to Earthlink, and that the company was told to expect more warrants as the investigation continues.

"They said they're going to all the ISPs," the executive said.

America Online spokesman Andrew Weinstein said the company is "cooperating fully and immediately with law enforcement agencies in their investigations."

Shannon Stubo of Yahoo!, which runs a Web-based e-mail service, also said the company was cooperating fully.

A spokesman for Microsoft's Internet divisions would only say that the company regularly works with law enforcement.

The FBI would only say that it is investigating the attacks vigorously throughout the United States.

Agents did not install the Carnivore e-mail surveillance device on Earthlink's computers, but relied instead on Earthlink's own reports. In the past, the company has gone to court to resist installing Carnivore.

Alison Bowman, a spokeswoman at cable Internet company ExciteatHome, said she was not aware of any warrants issued there but that the company would cooperate with authorities.

"We've always cooperated with the authorities when they've asked us for information," Bowman said.

Previously the FBI was too busy with making nice with the local mobsters to actually do their job.

Now that we have a REAL President instead of a fake blow-up sex toy with hair you can color to preference, that may well change.

I can't stand seeing the lefty media types now pilloring the FBI and CIA for their "failure".

Until 9-11, if the FBI so much as looked at these Boston Bin Laden guys twice in one month, the everloving ACLU and the Arab American Anti Defamation crowd would be scream "race profiling" and "religious bigotry", and Katie Couric and Dan Rather and Peter Jennings would crucify them for their police state tactics.

Now they turn around after 9-11 and say "what lazy incompetent boobs at the FBI!"

Same deal with the CIA and the lack of informants and spies in the terrorist camps. Before 9-11, if the CIA dealt with some bloody handed terrorist informant, Rather and Jennings would crucify them, "60-Minutes" would faint dead away at the eeee-villl CIA for dealing with terrorists. Now the same guys turn around and say "where was the CIA!!!"

I spit in all their lamestream media faces.

I think we ought to round up each and every Arab we can link in anyway to the Bin Laden group and ship their sorry a$$es out of the country! It is certainly time for STRICT EMIGRATION POLICIES ! Each applicant should undergo a through vetting-as though we're looking for terrorists and criminals because so often WE ARE!

Oh yeah the FBI has been doing a great job in Boston

Judge Mark Wolf says "White Bulger, Steven "the rifleman" Flemmi" and I forget the third guy, BUT YOU know what I am talking about.

The FBI has had it's share of problems.

In 1994, one of his brothers, Sheik Bakr Mohammed bin Laden, made a large donation to Harvard Law School to fund visiting scholars to do research in Islamic legal studies.

Do you think there was a class on how to run the Jihad?

Terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden has strong family ties and a group of supporters in Boston

There were two Arabs arrested tonight in Fort Smith, Arkansas who have ties to Osama bin Laden. They were on I-40 heading WEST when they were spotted with a Florida license plate. IMO they were heading for the Canadian border.

Why didn't they act before?

Seems to me we had an incompetent suckbutt for a president before. Clinton probably couldn't tie his own shoes without an aide to tell him when to cross the laces.

(Why Didn't They Look & Act Before?!!)
You mean no court orders for wiretaps, midnight raids and sting operations?

This is America, son - not Nazi Germany or Russia!

There are laws prohibiting that kind of abusive behavior!

Why does this link go to NJersey.com, If you don't have a link you shouldn't post it, if it was yanked it was most likely done because it was bogus and untrue, but you see fit to post it anyway, GO FIGURE

Harvard officials were quick to distance the school from Osama bin Laden, emphasizing that he has no role in the scholarship programs.

I don't why Harvard got so gunshy all of a sudden. If they are not embarassed by Alan Dershowitz I don't know why they worry about association with a terrorist.
