BOSTON (AP) -- Terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden has strong family ties and a group of supporters in Boston, where the two hijacked airliners that demolished the World Trade Center took off.

One of bin Laden's brothers set up scholarship funds at Harvard, while another relative owns six condominiums in an expensive complex in the Charlestown section of Boston. Two bin Laden associates once worked as Boston cab drivers, including one who was jailed in Jordan on charges of plotting to blow up a hotel full of Americans and Israelis.

I have watched and read your post and even sometimes responded to them, But you are the most anti-american poster on this forum.

If you can't be united behind our Country, take United and leave our Country!

Glad you like it. It took me four months to put the 78 pages together. The ending will be a surprize and crushing to leftists. I think it will be broken up into five installments. I'm not certain. I don't have control of that part of it.

"A serial killer is not part of a racial Jihad. "

Not apples and oranges. Racial profiling is just that. If FBI stats say blacks commit more violent crimes than what follows is racial profiling. if FBI stats say that most serial killers are white, than racial profiling should ensue. NOT apples and oranges.

At this time it is anti-american, I know you love a spirited debate when ever you can get one stirred up, but monday morning quarterbacking at this point is not only premature but also rediculous. We have thousands of people killed by terrorist and you are pointing fingers at the Government just 2 days later. I just can't figure how that is not anti-american

If the government is to blame then they are to blame for allowing this to happen.

I don't worship the government.

And I'm not going to sit down and shut up just because the government allowed and terrorist murdered 20,000 people or more.

How in the hell does ignoring the government allowing and not critisizing them prevent more terrorism from happening?

It doesn't it only makes them more likely!

This why you are so full of BS. Rights don't only belong to citizens. LAst week you are calling the federal agent's JBT's and this week you are wondering why they weren't JBT's last week. So I guess they are only JBT's when your a$$ isn't threatened? Your a hypocrite and a coward.

On the whole, the FBI is a fine law enforcement organization and your criticism is unwarranted and unamerican during this time of crisis. Again, you have no evidence of wrong doing yet you attack them. It is the lowest act of unamerican cowardice.

You mean no court orders for wiretaps, midnight raids and sting operations?

This is America, son - not Nazi Germany or Russia!

There are laws prohibiting that kind of abusive behavior!

"If the government is to blame then they are to blame for allowing this to happen."

I guess you blame FDR for Pearl Harbor? We have had only 8 1/2 months to try and correct 8 years of neglect and corruption. I know you must miss Clinton and his scandals to feed you appetite for protesting, but...NOW is not the time.

"I don't worship the government"

Bin Laden doesn't worship our government either!, But I support the government until I have proof of corruption or negligence, not assumptions out of thin air!

Get used to it, hopefully it is temporary.

A couple of points I have not seen overmuch in any of these posts, and a couple that need a response:

Racial Profiling is precisely why no one has been riding these clowns. Up until yesterday, the only people in America that you could speak nasty about were white guys over 12, preferably the bald ones, hetrosexual, and preferred not to be registered democrats.
Boston is a popular location because it has a comfortable political climate and generally believes itself to be slightly elevated over the rest of us. Ergo, standing around complaining about the hardships lain upon your countrymen, while spending multi millions on condos and flight schools, would be quite acceptible so long as you gave your recurring tithe to the local Kennedy.
So long as you could be expected to vote correctly (if not legally).
The FBI has not been on this case because of both of the above, Ruby Ridge and Waco were perceived to be white on white atrocities (hence, OK) and politically it would be suicide to go after a downtrodden islamic cleric. Oh, and his militant, murdering, buddies!

Given recent reports from latin america and Belfast, given that this is after all Boston - home of the IRA west,
what links might be forged or sustained in the Boston area?

Finally; so far only the BBC has addresed the one thing that we all should be facing up to -
NO bunch of camel jockeys (term used to denote someone noth thought highly of in the median American household - nothing personal) could pull this off without a fair amount of indigenous US support.
Think about it!
Who, how many, helped these freaks out whle they were planning and developing their great assault on the US society and economy?
Why?

Who was John Doe 2 anyway?

Stephen Walt, a professor of international politics at the JFK School of Government at Harvard, likened the relationship of the bin Laden brothers to that of University of Massachusetts President William Bulger and his brother, reputed mobster James "Whitey" Bulger, who is among the FBI's 10 Most Wanted.

Is he F'ing kidding ... Unbelievable .. Doesn't Alan Dirtbagawitz teach at Havard also .. and then there is Uncle Kennedy ... seems to me this State is harboring terrorist to me ...

tbeatty

Yes rights do belong to only the citizens, foriegners do not have the same rights as American citizens

And If you ever called me a coward and a hypocrite to my face you'd find out whether I was.

You call me all kinds of names (that are fighting words)in complete violation of FR rules.

You are the apparent coward who knows I can't grab your little smart Fed-lackeyneck over this computer screen.

But you ignore every horrendous thing the FBI does and pretend it never happens.

And with all the people who were killed it is all the more reason for me to post stories showing the FBI/government's fault in it and criticize the government for allowing it to happen.

Dark things and bad policies don't get better without exposing them to the light of day.

NO tbeatty pegged you EXACTLY. You have been bitching and moaning for two weeks about the Federal Government JBTs stomping on the rights of people and NOW you are doing a 180 and saying that the FBI should have been doing the opposite. You are a hypocrite and you are a coward.
