Glick and Burnett both said in their calls the people on board knew of one or more attacks on the World Trade Center, evidently from the other phone calls. I read this article with a little skepticism. This sentence made me realize that this article is contrived. I know they are trying to serve a purpose, but I just don't believe most of it.

Fred, Ted Olson reportedely told his wife Barbara about the WTC crashes during her 2nd phone call to him.
He understandably wanted her to know that she and all on board were in grave danger.
He debated not telling her, but said that they had always shared everything.
It makes perfect sense to me that family members of any of these victims would do the same.

Good grief. You need rest. Fine, you dont believe it, but this sentence provides no evidence the article is contrived, or that the passengers didnt act.

With CNN, it's just as likely poor writing as something contrived. I think it's quite possible folks on the plane knew about the WTC -- I believe I saw an interview with one set of relatives who said they told them about it themselves. (I stopped taping coverage around 5pm today, hopefully I got it on tape.)

I was on a train into Manhattan on Tuesday morning. A fellow behind me called out that a plane had just crashed into the World Trade Center, and as soon as our train was within sight of the WTC everyone looked out the coach windows to see smoke billowing from the first tower. The reason HE knew it is because the person with whom he was speaking, on his mobile phone, had been listening to the radio.
So I think your skepticism is unfounded. It would be possible to hear about this event virtually anywhere in the country since it was most likely reported live as it occurred.

I have seen interviews with family members who were speaking with these people on the phones. They have said the same things this article states happened. Are you saying they are all on television lying? What purpose could they possibly have for saying this? The people on the ground who were called knew about the attack on the WTC and would naturally tell them about it.

"This sentence made me realize that this article is contrived. I know they are trying to serve a purpose, but I just don't believe most of it." How so, Mr. Mertz? The timing seems to work...I was watching the carnage of the WTC attacks when I heard news of a fourth hijacked plane, why don't you believe those on the phone would have had similar knowledge? IMO, the timeline fits.
