FBI Arrests Man on Train in Anniston
Federal agents ordered a southbound Amtrak train to come to a stop in the east Alabama city of Anniston today. The FBI then arrested a passenger. WHNT is told the man boarded the train in New York yesterday. Agents say the man carries a passport from Pakistan, yet his picture and information did not match. He was taken to the FBI field office in either Birmingham or Atlanta.
Passengers reported the man because of his "unusual" behavior.
We'll have more on this as it become available

Passengers reported the man because of his "unusual" behavior. i.e. - defecating masonry as his flight to France had been cancelled...

Passengers reported the man because of his "unusual" behavior. I'm afraid we will have to turn this man loose. You see, the passengers used 'profiling' to determining that his behavior was unusual. Who are we to judge people who are different from us?

As much as I've critisized the FBI's handling of past events, I've got to say that they're doing a great job here and appear to be right on top of things. Perhaps they really CAN do good work when they need to, and perhaps under AG Ashcroft the FBI today isn't the same FBI that we had under Reno.

Waaaaay to early to conclude all that, but let's hope so, eh?

Not to be negative but, (I will) I hope you're filing all these stories away for future reference when, in about a month or two, the feds end up blaming this whole thing on some militia group from Idaho.

Now that we have shut down all airline activity and all borders, we should make sure that there is not one damned towelhead that is allowed to leave the country until this mess is sorted out.
Call me a racist. I don't give a $hit. Obviously there are collaborators with the hijackers that are still in the country. Keep them here until we can find them. Don't, under any conditions, let them out of the country.

This is going to greatly upset the liberals, that middle easterners are being profiled. So they look, talk, act, and believe differently from us....

There was another alleged arrest at the Providence, RI Amtrak station. When I arrived there around 2:45 PM the station was surrounded with police vehicles. Bomb sniffing dogs entered the station. All passengers inside the station were evacuated. The station was closed for approximately 1 1/2 hours. The mayor arrived and gave a short interview to the press around 3:30 PM, but it was impossible to hear what he was saying even though I was standing less than 10 feet away. Train 173(I think) from Boston was stopped just before the station. It was hard to get information, but the story circulating was that one of the suspects had fled Copley plaza in Boston and was aboard. At about 3:45 PM we were allowed to enter the station. Trains were then running as usual, except for some delays. The train I boarded was stopped prior to Providence and they were told there was a fire ahead. I spoke with a woman waiting for the train in question and she said there was an announcement and they were told to evacuate the station. I was told that police took 1 man away, but they left thru the opposite exit and I did not see it personally. That is all the info I have.
