About 5:50 am Pacific, ABC's Ted Koppel was being interviewed. He was in London. It was mentioned that before Koppel became famous for Nightline, he served as a correspondent covering the U.S. State Department. Koppel said he had been watching the ABC coverage this morning for a "couple of hours" and that he was "stunned" when he saw the interview early this morning of former Secretary of Defense, William Cohen, and Cohen mentioned the use of nuclear weapons among the list of possible responses to yesterday's terrorist attack. Koppel said it was the first time he ever recalls any high level person mentioning nuclear weapons as even a possibility.

From the info on the link given in your post, and the link on that page to the opinion on the Japanese banks and financial situation, it sounds like we are going to be seeing a world-wide economic melt-down.

Cohen was also on the tube yesterday ( CNN ? )laying out the case for greater security at the expense of our traditions of liberty and freedom.

NBC has been running Cohen, Holbrooke, Berger as advisors. Can't wait for them to invite Maddie. The Kosovo Warriors are alive and well. He!! just bring in the whole Klintoon administration and let them touchy-feely their way though this! Maybe they can find another empty terrorist base or a few asprin or baby formula factories to nuke! And like before, warn the target sites that we are going to hit a few weeks before it happens. Klintoons TREASON to the American people is rearing it's ugly head.

Nothing said by any former Clinton flack is credible.
Did you notice how CNN paraded one Clinton aide after another? Was no one else available or are they just again showing their bias?

OK, I've thought about for about 24 hours. If there was any nation involved in this act IN ANY CAPACITY, then it should be STERILIZED with nukes. If money used to buy the tickets these scum used to get on the airplanes was laundered through the Cayman islands, that place should be glassed without hesitation.
The one good result that I could see from this is a "Bush Doctorine", assuring the world that ANY nation which aids terrorist of any stripe will be glassed by us when evidence of that involvement is found. After we set an example of this policy with our revenge for this act, we might solve this problem for good.

Use the strongest nukes we have on those evil scumbags. Any nation harboring terrorists is just as guilty as the terrorists themselves. All they understand in violence. Diplomacy is not an option. Killing of civillians in such terrorist states is fine by me. Such an overwhelming example is the ONLY way to discourage these dogs from harming Americans again. Let the rest of the world protest. We can remind them that we have plenty more to go around...

Koppel would have been stunned to learn of any retaliation. He might disapprove of a marshmallow fight.

We may have the bigest guns, but we don't have the only guns...the bastards have many weapons of mass destruction...else they would not have been so bold. This take tactical planning, unless you wish to see more devastation on our own land.

Noboby's going to miss Afghanistan. Our efforts must be focused on the leaders of any "state" harboring terrorists and not innocent peasants.
