After Iran has killed a few million of its own people, they are telling us we deserve this lesson!

US terror attacks a "lesson for all tyrants": Baghdad BAGHDAD - The terror attacks in the United States that reduced New York's landmark World Trade Center to flaming rubble and set the Pentagon ablaze were a "lesson for all tyrants and oppressors", an official Iraqi newspaper said on Wednesday.

Under the headline "America burns", Al-Iraq said that "what happened in the United States yesterday is a lesson for all tyrants, oppressors and criminals."

"US leaders must expect such a lesson because they have shown insupportable cruelty towards people and that ended by blowing up in their face, destroying their symbols and making Americans weep bitter tears." "It is the prestige, arrogance and institutions of America that burn," it charged.

"Brutal America, suffering from illusions of grandeur, has inflicted humiliation, famine and terrorism on all of the world's countries and today it reaps the fruits of its arrogant and stupid policy. "Whichever party committed these attacks, it has dragged the dignity of the US government into the mud and unveiled its vain arrogance. A state cannot be powerful if it is incapable of defending itself domestically." The paper said the "myth of America was destroyed with the World Trade Center in New York. The great power that once sowed terror throughout the world was yesterday terrified, thrown into a panic and humiliated."

Overnight an official Iraqi statement said, "The American cowboys are reaping the fruit of their crimes against humanity."

Iraq was defeated by a US-led coalition in the 1991 Gulf War following its occupation of Kuwait, and Washington has continued to be its strongest foe. - AFP

Our official response should be thousands of pounds of bombs, followed by the USMC knocking on their doors.

Hey, I could go for gasoline at $.25 per gallon - maybe Iraq could be the 51st star on our flag.

Nah. Not yet. They'll soon learn what cowboys are capable of. If they're real nice, we may just spare part of their country from being turned into a parking lot.

Okay, here's what we do. We bomb Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Syria, and Libya (have I forgotten anyone?) back into the stone age and then let them write hateful stories with their fingernails.

Back to the Stone Age? Aren't you being a little generous?

I'm in favor using nukes to reduce the area to red, glowing magma. In a couple thousand years, it may cool down enough to sustain vegetation ... but that's about it.

You and A+Bert have always come pretty close ... if not with Sadaam, then at least with all of his other co-conspirators.

These folks either have not done their homework or don’t believe that history repeats, remembering what happened previously should probably give us a clue to how America will respond to this tragedy. Guaranteed, the Arab world will suffer greatly the day we decide to play Cowboys and Arabs.

I have no problems with Iraq, Iran and Paletinians celebrating the attack on the WTC, because that is an expected reaction from our enemy states/peoples. My problem is that there may have been celebrations in Arab communities in the US. Atleast there was no celebrations in Japanese American communities after the attack on Pearl Harbor during WWII. The Arab American communities may be a different story.
