America must confront murderous terrorists with quick and violent retaliation, military officers said yesterday as President Bush began weighing responses for the kamikaze-style attacks on New York City and the Pentagon.

"This is our generation's Pearl Harbor," said a senior retired Navy officer. "It is time to kick ass. And If we have to kill a few innocent civilians in the process, so be it."

"...If the actors are extraterritorial, then I believe international law allows for other responses."

Paraphrasing von Clauswitz: "War is just the unsealing of a criminal indictment by other means."

Go get him. Drop in tanks, troops, planes and bombs. We need to make statement. Terrorists need ot be a terrible price. The causes they support need to suffer as a result of terrorist attacks to the point where the causes hate the terrorists.

"It is time to kick ass. And if we have to kill a few innocent civilians in the process, so be it."

Might not this attitude be what made the US the target in the first place? We've been kicking ass and killing innocent civilians as a matter of policy for years, and what has it gotten us? Blowback.

Well, if we send troops, etc., we'd better be sure we get him the first time, IMO.

Just reported that Bush is going to rescind the EO by Ford that prevented assassination of foreign leaders. If I was an Arab leader I would be changing my underwear right now. Even Ronald Reagan did NOT take this step.

I'll believe it when it happens. The Prez's speech this evening was pathetic.

I can only hope so. It's time for payback. Mean payback. Effective payback. No more "criminal investigations", no more words, no discussions, no more negotiations just find em and kill them. Kill lots of them and lots of their "innocent civilians" too. Send them all to hell. Allah can sort them out.

Tell me, were you expecting a World Wrestling type of speech that had Bush screaming obscenities into the camera about how he was going to "kick ass and take names"? Friend this isn’t a damned made for TV movie. How can you gauge Bush's anger? Have you EVER seen him angry? Get a damned life and grow the hell up! MORON!
