I think Rudy is trying to avoid this question right now, but he said it was in the thousands, which I guess mostof us figured anyway. 300 firefighters are missing and many of the top personnel are dead.

Early today I heard a radio report on WSB radio, Atlanta that a stolen UHaul van was parked outside of a federal building in Athens, GA and was being investigated. I then heard no more about it and was unable to find anymore info. Is it possible, even likely that some intentional misinformation is occuring? I understand the need to avoid panic, but media/government coverups still make me uncomfortable.

Same thing is true for the car bomb that was supposed to have been near the State Dept. building.

Then again, it could have just been rumors. Seems there was a lot of that today too.

I wonder. The state dept. thing was supposedly confirmed, then it was false. CBSMarketwatch, WCBS NY and ABC ran the explosive story, saying they had enough to blow up the entire span. Now they say they had no explosives, but they were taken in for questioning. If they were clean, what grounds were there for taking them in? How did 3 different outlet get the thing completely wrong? I'm beginning to wonder if the first reports are correct, and they are telling us otherwise to prevent further panic.

These terrorist think we're soft on them. It was just about a year ago when Bill and Hillary got 16 puerto rican terrorist released. He gave them clemency and the people in this country sat by and did nothing. The people of NY rewarded her with a senate seat. The democrats were all over TV enthsiastically supporting Clintons decision to release them. Especially Rangel and Schumer. Anything for a buck or a vote. No one on TV has the balls to point this out.

I think it is more one network trying to scoop the others with "Breaking News" - then the others scramble for the information taken from the first without verification. Remember the election?

On the other hand, I've heard little mention of the supposed car bombs reported earlier today. If our eyes are on the skies looking for hijacked planes and glued to the television for more info, that U-Haul truck can get by undetected...

It is the infiltration from inside our borders at eye level that concerns me. Wave II of this attack could be just that.
