One thing you all can do is not buy gas at high prices.
The major oil companies have frozen prices down at the old levels.
Any price rises are just gouging by wholesalers or retailers. They will have to give up and let the price go back down in a day or two.

Maybe my being from a different generation I see things from different perspective. However if the country has the intestinal fortitude this will work out. There can be bad days ahead, like the Battle of the Bulge was late in the war. But we can prevail. Just hang tough girl......

Dubya isn't interested in consensus or getting the aproval of other countries, or the UN. Once he knows who the sponsors are, he will destroy them. With nukes I hope, in order to teach people not to tolerate terrorist neighbors

Oh West .. I know what you mean .. I had depression era parents .. though my dad died when I was young .. mom always reminded me of those days .. and to never forget where you come from .. I didn't ..
I think we will come thru this .. changed yes .. but we will get thru it all .. I think right now people are just still in shock about the whole thing .. One thing we have now that wasn't in WWII is the instint graphics like on CNN .. being played over and over ..

I hope you are right. I'd like to see us get out of the UN and stop sticking ours noses into everybody elses business around the world. I was in the military during WWII an Korea. I didn't see that Korea was any of our business nor did I see all the other places we've stuck our noses into was any of our business. I was going to to be a 30 year man, but I got out. Wasn't about to fight other peoples wars. Seen nothing to change my mind. But this is different......Pearl Harbor II.
Where you been? Sort of diappeared from the bar and the Freepathon. Was begining to think you were mad at Palo.......... Take care

Well, I've found you all...I wondered if you all had been sent on a mission to Islamabad, very hush hush.I sure can't sleep, and FR has been a godsend to me today.I am also appalled at the mind numbing pettiness of many here on such a day as this, unleashing their anger against W in childish tantrums.I feel very American today, and am with you all in spirit, and are my fellow Canadians.

late..I'm on the east coast, can't sleep, too wired up.Last time i felt like this was in November, and when the LA riots were on.
What made it so hard today was TV.. plus the scale of the attack. The sight of that once great edifice imploding, or the picture of the plane turning into it, plus the horror of those wretched souls jumping to their deaths, and your at home, and can't do shit for them.Helplessness.Anger.And now, bloodlust.
