Why are they not interviewing any survivors from the buildings?

I am very concerned that we are not seeing any interviews with people who were in the Twin Towers but got out. Makes me think really not many did - you would think that those people would be all over the news talking about watching the plane hit their building etc. I am very afraid the numbers may be 30-40 thousand.

There have been interviews of people who evacuated the buildings, some from very high up, like the 57th floor for one guy interviewed on Jennings or Brokaw's show.

a few, but I would think they would have hundreds, especially from higher floors to give us an idea how high you could be and still survive. i think its obvious NO ONE above where the planes hit made it. that is a lot of people in the second tower.

The newscrews themselves were running for their lives more than once today. Keep that in mind. I've had emails from two people in the area, not in the towers though, who fled their buildings after the first tower collapsed and then just walk to--wherever. And Giuliani asked everyone below Canal Street to just walk north and get out of the rescue services' way.

Plus, not many people WANT to talk to media. There have been a few.

Believe it or not, there are still people alive in that rubble. Giuliani just confirmed it.

Before the buildings collapsed, a guy was interviewed who said he came down, via stairs, from the 77th floor. He said everyone in the stairwells were orderly and fast moving.

I have heard interviews with at least two survivors. One from the 13th floor and one [unbelievably] from the 91st floor.

I heard an interview with a guy who was on the 39th floor of the one tower when the other tower collapsed. He and some Firefighters that were going up to fight the fire then went back down and made it out.

Larry King had five survivors on his show. One was on the 82 floor of the No. 1 tower (the first one hit). He said the evacuation was routine down the stairs. I'm hopeful that this means most of the people got out alive. Notice that no one is reporting high body counts yet. Of course this could change when the rubble is removed. It appears a large number of rescue workers were killed-hundreds.

Another woman on Larry King was on the 31 floor of No. 2 tower. They made it down and almost went back in the building when they got an all clear. The people inside the buildings did not realize the danger they were in because they couldn't see it from inside their offices. I hope most made it out.

Heard one lady who worked on the 92nd floor in the second building began taking the stairs down immediately following the attack on building #1. She made it down and out of building #2 before it collapsed. There is hope. Certainly more hope for those in building #2, as they had at least 18 more minutes to escape than the others.

Perhaps the survivors are just thankful to be home with their families and have no interest in five minutes of fame.

NBC TV in New York has converted their website's message board so people can try to get info on missing friends and relatives, and some who were there, are posting their observations and stories.

Here's a LINKto the website

Source? If true, that is extremely good news, not just for the nation as a whole, but also for the economy.

I've already heard about one guy who was on the 90+ floor of the building who got out. Took about an hour to get down the stairs. he was a block away when it collapsed behind him.

Hopefully, many people were late for work today and didn't enter the building. But there was a very large window for evacuation, particularly of the lower floors.

That said, I'm still afraid that thousands perished in the collapse.

I haven't seen any - but I have just heard on NBC (in San Diego), that some people are still alive in the building and are using their cell phones to tell people where they are. Amazing.
