I hope Barbara gave Ted (and the FBI/CIA/NSA) enough info so they can pinpoint who is responsible...

Well, maybe not. But it sounds like she gave them enough info to find out how it was done. Plastic knives?
Anyway, as much as we will miss her, we should be grateful that she had the presence of mind to pass on all the info she could. Our airways may be much safer as a result.
God bless Barbara.

I emailed back and forth with Barbara a half dozen times the last month or so about Gary Condit. I was so proud a couple weeks back when I suggested something to her that morning, she emailed me back agreeing, and presented it on LKL. I did not know Barbara in person, but I am grieving for her parents and her husband. God speed of his wonderful grace and compassion to them, and to all families who have lost loved ones today.

Right wishing someone was dead, no matter how vile that person is in your eyes has no place on this forum ANYTIME! I did not know Barbara but had seen her on TV many times. She seemed like a very intelligent and understanding person. I wish only condolences for her husband, Ted Olsen. I am assuming, hopefully correct, that this Ted Olsen is the one who argued Bush's side before the Supreme Court?? RIP, Barbara. Peace to your survivors.

You are correct -- Mr. Olsen is now Solicitor General.

I stand corrected. I guess I need to watch TV more. I stopped watching it during the Lewinsky mess. My ticker and TV set could not take the pressure. I thought that she had short hair and was slightly more mature. Now I wonder who the heck it is that I pictured as Mrs. Olson? That short little shrewish guy, that is Tom Daschle isn't he?

(on a light note, considering ...)

That short little shrewish guy, that is Tom Daschle isn't he?

Now that one, you nailed.

Barbara would often wear her hair up, so it may be that you didn't recognize her in that shot with her long hair. We'll never forget her now though, will we?

Remembering Barbara.

Thank God the terrorists didn't silence her, her book was published and is a hard hitting epose on the last weeks of Clinton's administration.

She was appalled at his pardoning of known terrorists, which makes her death at their hands so ironic. She was warning us that this was a possiblility, and she was proven correct in the most horrifying way.

Thank you Barbara, May you RIP.

A three month rememberance of the tragic loss of a lady who was the epitomie of class in life and like all the others who faced evil on 9/11/01 showed both grace and heroism in the face of death.

A prayer for Barbara's husband, Solicitor General Ted Olson, and the families of the victims who suffered at the atrocities committed by the ones who only knew evil in their hearts.

I was at Sams club on Sunday afternoon, and a lady was looking at the books as was I. She was searching through the titles and telling her husband that she was hoping to find Barbara Olson's book.

Barbara lives on through her writings, and in the hearts and minds of fellow freepers and Americans.
