Statement from Baylor University President Robert B. Sloan Jr.

Sept. 11, 2001
by Larry D. Brumley

Baylor University President Robert B. Sloan Jr. today released the following statement: "In light of today's tragic events and the uncertainty surrounding so many, I want to call on the Baylor University community - students, faculty, and staff - to join together in prayer. Let us remember especially those who have lost loved ones, those who await word of the safety of friends and family, and those who are called to lead our nation in this time of profound anxiety.

“Also, as a result of this unfolding tragedy, the University and former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno have mutually agreed to cancel Thursday’s President’s Forum event.”

TICKET REFUND INFORMATION
Individuals who have purchased tickets for the President’s Forum event may return their tickets to the Bill Daniel Student Center ticket office for a refund.

Thanks for posting that statement.

tillacum, I'm thinking we should hang onto all of our material and use it for other engagements or send it down to the Florida Freepers. Speaking at places other than Waco doesn't diminish what she did at Waco, and I would think the Florida Freepers would want to use some of it.
