President Bush..please speak to the American people

I believe that our President is being given poor guidance by his advisors. At this time, it is imperative that he speak live, to the American people. I understand that there are security issues, but they can be handled. He can broadcoast from AF1. Or, send out the VP to talk to the American people. A calm, reassuring presence such as Mr. Cheney's would be welcome now.

THis is NOT a knock or an indictment of the president. I believe he is very busy managing this crisis, and will do a superlative job of guiding America through this dark hour. I am glad that he is our president in this crisis. Gore would be unimaginable. But, BUT, I believe he is not aware of the importance of being seen.....either he or Cheney.
