ABC just had a kid from Stuyvesant High School on live, and at the end of interview woman asked him what he thought of the whole thing. Kid: "I'm just glad we have a Republican president." Woman interviewer: "You think we should retaliate? Is that it?" Kid: "We retaliated after Pearl Harbor . . ."
For those outside New York, Stuyvesant High School is where the smart kids go. It's also very close, relatively speaking, to the WTC. When lower Manhattan disappeared in smoke I was seriously worried about those kids, and every ground-level business in the area.
I still can't really comprehend what I saw today.
Good for him!!! He obviously knows his history, so I would tend to applaud his school, too....
