Oh, oh! Here we go! A FReeper delimiting our First Amendment liberties!

Friend, I hate what Jennings said, and have registered my complaint by strongly-worded email to ABC management.

Still, what Jennings said -- despicably egregious as it is -- certainly does NOT fall outside the bounds of the First Amendment.

Stirring up a potential panic in the face of an unfolding disaster--still in progress--has always been an exception to the First Amendment. Jennings ought to spend the night in jail, and then hold his own press conference tomorrow--perhaps on the way to his deportation hearing.

Put the whole thing in perspective. Kids cannot even pray today, in a public school assembly--which clearly violates at least two provisions of the First Amendment-- but you think that Jennings can yell fire in a crowded theatre that has just been fire bombed.
