Peter Jennings Criticises President Bush's Leadership During this Crisis

Anyone been listening to Peter Jennings on ABC?

He is criticising President Bush saying it's been two hours since he spoke from Florida; that the President needs to demonstrate more vigorous leadership during this crisis. With the largest attack against the U.S. (internal to our borders) in history, how can this talking head suggest that the President needs to be making PR appearances, when he needs to be conferring with top security officials within the government and elsewhere in order to ascertain whom was responsible, and to coordinate and develop an appropriate response?

I think we need somehow to let Peter Jennings and ABC know that we cannot accept this ridiculous criticism of Pres. Bush when the nation is in the midst of this crisis. PR, would of course, be the first response from our former Prez, and Peter would be lauding ex42 regardless of what he had done, if this had occurred on his watch.

What does this jerk want President Bush to say? I have been crying on and off since this morning. My father is so angry, he is ready to punch someone in the eye. "The national emergency, unfolding today, caused me to turn on the TV to watch news. I happened upon ABC News, because my TV was still on that station (I watched Monday Night Football last night). I stopped watching ABC News years ago because of its obvious liberal bias.

"Peter Jennings's smug and arrogant comments regarding President Bush's leadership have reinforced my decision not to watch ABC News. His comments border on traitorous, and are obviously a perversion of his first amendment freedom.

This is Peter Jennings' payback for getting no more White House dinner invites like he did under Clinton. It's really a shame that People like him in the media would choose to sttop so low like this. This is not the appropiate time to go and make these kind of statments. I'm very ashamed for our nation that we have a news media like this. We as news and information consumers deserve better.

Unfortunately the Rats will probably argue that Bush's missile defense program is "worthless" in light of these bombings. On the contrary, we need it more than ever. To say that we should abandon missile defense because a nuclear attack is less likely than what happened today is like saying we shouldn't vaccinate ourselves against tuberculosis because the flu is more common.

During ABC live coverage, the smarmy, sanctimoneous, Canadian transplant Jennings, after President Bush declared that freedom will be defended, made a wisecrack like "Well, it wasn't defended today." The bastard.

Maybe "it wasn't defended today", "Mr." Jennings, because YOUR messiah, William Jefferson Clinton, completely and utterly dismantled our ability to defend ourselves. Remember when Jennings and Couric accused Christians of "creating the climate" that led to the death of Matthew Shepard? Well, you SOB's...YOU created the climate that led to the deaths of THOUSANDS of Americans today by cheering on the dismantling of our military. May the media roast in Hell.

I also let our local affiliate know that I (and many others) would NOT be watching their channel as long as Peter Jennings had any part of ABC and they might want to let the network know it - that his performance today was sickening and disgusting at a time when the country should be pulling together.
