I heard a fellow interviewed who worked on the 35th floor of one of the towers. If he got out in an orderly manner, it's possible most of the people on the floors below the point of impact escaped before the collapse.

Its possible the no. of dead are well below 10K.

Lets pray this is the case.

At a minimum it seems unlikely anyone above the impact locations got out. Deaths in the thousands seems certain.

I think it's likely thousands on the lower floors got out before the collapse. I just hope they cleared out of the area once they got out and weren't milling around in the street.
