Bush, in Florida, pressures Congress on education

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (CNN) -- President George W. Bush visited a Florida elementary school Monday as part of a renewed campaign to press Congress for an agreement on his education plan, a cornerstone of his agenda that has been on hold for months because of differences in competing Senate and House bills.

For months, he has spoken out against what he describes as "the soft bigotry of low expectations"...

But for gosh sakes, don't anybody expect very much of him.

Such as fixing the economy by providing national leadership and taking responsibility, and not -- for a change -- blaming everything on the ghost of Clinton past.

President Bush has provided more national leadership in 8 months than that corrupt, vindictive, pathologically lying, impeached rapist scumbag did in 8 years. That pimple took credit for everything and blame for nothing. And EVERYBODY, included pathetic hacks like yourself, knows it. But rather than admit Clinton was a tumor that should have been cut out of our White House, you attempt in vain to try to drag President Bush down to Trouser Snake's level. What a sad, sorry life you must lead.

Thank God (you've heard of Him, right?) we have an adult in charge again!!! Heck, I bet they haven't had to scrub the White House sinks since January!

Thank you! I am quite tired of the little sniping comments, as well.

Since President Bush has already done TWO things that will help the economy (tax cut and the proposed energy bill) it is up to Congress to pass the energy bill and then we can talk about capital gains (which everyone seems to have forgotten that were in the ORIGINAL tax cut proposal and the HOUSE committee suggested splitting off, along with the death tax).

I seem to remember that right before the August recess there was all sorts of talk about how the President wasn't getting anything passed, and then several things were finished, quite handily, right before he left for Crawford. I think this will be an interesting couple of weeks.
