Ny computer crashed big time about three weeks ago, so I lost my statistical bookmarks. They are government statistics. You get five or six sets of statistics. The one used in most political/economic arguments is family income. When you look close you find out men are putting their wives to work competing with them for their own jobs. The result is two people working for what was formerly 75% salary with an increase in total family income.<p. On close examination you find white male inclome is down. You also find people at the 60th percentile and below have taken a beating while the top quartile is doing well. Vut the top quartile is the people who write economics articles saying how nice things are.

My goal was always to make 2000 times my age and I've blown that out of the water thanks to Mr. Gates -- which I think deserves more economic credit than Commrade Clinton.

Of course, SCUMBAG sat behind the panel and pushed green buttons to make it roar. Right? You think Bush could use this? He could go on TV and demand that all Republicans be elected in 2002 or he'll push this red button to send the economy into the ground. He could have his people create a dashboard with gizmos and everything. It might just beat the Dems at their own game. Imagine the press trying to convince Americans that no such thing exists for months on end.

Golly, Naspino, You went to all the trouble to write out 20 well-argued and perceptive defenses that Republicans can use to counter Dem charges of irresponsible profligacy with, and all in vain.
Because nobody is going to carry those arguments around with them. Most won't even bother to read them. And besides, it's all too complicated and confusing when it is much easier and more satisfying simply to scream, "It's all Clinton's fault!"

You said it. Gates does deserve the credit. I think all this started when Clintonistas attacked Microsoft. I also think Greenspan over tweaked. Right now i think the press really is helping to drive things into the ground. What about Carters 10% unemployment. I thought that anything under 5% was considered full employment. This is nuts. Even during the Carter years Texas had lower unemployment stats.I think they hovered around 6 or 7%.

and more satisfying simply to scream, "It's all Clinton's fault!" We don't have the media to back it up though! We'll lose if we blame Clinton. We need to make the sheeple forget Clinton.

Gates does deserve the credit. I think all this started when Clintonistas attacked Microsoft. Yeah, I totally forgot that. Someone just recently told me that more people have stock in Microsoft than any other company in the world.
Makes for the perfect target if you want to make the economy flounder...you can even put a timer on it so it blows up just as your leaving office.

The downfall of the repubs will be the repubs because they don't seem to have the cajones to call press conferences and challenge the lies of the dems.
