Golly, Naspino, You went to all the trouble to write out 20 well-argued and perceptive defenses that Republicans can use to counter Dem charges of irresponsible profligacy with, and all in vain.

Because nobody is going to carry those arguments around with them. Most won't even bother to read them. And besides, it's all too complicated and confusing when it is much easier and more satisfying simply to scream, "It's all Clinton's fault!"
