All I can say is coming soon to your neighborhood. I note some of the defenders of massive force by the police were talking about their need for M-60 machine guns in cities and suburbs. How nice that we can massively increase the collateral damage. Perhaps flame throwers, air strikes, self propelled howitzers, and tactical nuclear weapons can be added to the swat arsenals.

Stay well - Yorktown

Very good and timely.

The usual argument for gun control is that in a civilized and densely populated society it is safer to have a low incidence of guns in private hands as the safety needs are handled by professional police. Californians who favor gun control should question their assumptions about police professionalism.

""When the people fear government, that is tyranny. When the government fears the people, that is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson " think on this thought.

Dramatic situations such as now, are historically the avenue allowing the installing and expansion by edict and rules restricting and limiting freedoms; which would be ordinarily repulsed.

Notice ... it is being advanced as "necessary sacrifices by americans".

It is incidents like this that have contributed to my absolute ZERO respect for LEOs. Z-E-R-O. These sort of mishaps might not be the rule, but the fact that they even happen at all and the LEOs responsible are not punished is unforgivable.

I remember this story. There are several good threads on it around here somewhere.

I was just noticing the date, and even the times, on this one. =^(
