Men average higher IQs than women
A survey of 100,000 people has concluded the average man has a higher IQ than his female counterpart.
The research, conducted in Germany, has found men have an average IQ of 119 while women scored an average of 113. Participants sent in their details over the internet.
The survey for a one-off television show, IQ Test, also found blondes and brunettes have exactly the same IQ - at 117. People with black hair scored 115 while redheads managed 114 on average. People with grey hair scored 108.
Non-smokers scored an average of 118 while smokers averaged 113. Right-handed people did better than left-handed participants - scoring 117 compared to 110.
This particular survey here might be legitimate; it certainly confirms what I've sensed in my many, many conversations with men and women. At any rate, I don't expect the liberal media to report it.
If they do, they'll somehow tie it to 'oppression' of women under a patriarchial society. I can just hear Gloria Steinheim saying, "It's amazing that women did that well, considering how modern society does all it can to stunt the intellectual growth of women."
Here, Gloria, I have a simple calculus problem for you to do . . . .

Plus, the average IQ in Europe is slightly higher than the US median of 100 - not because Europeans in Europe are any smarter than European-Americans, but due to reasons which Herrnstein & Murray already elaborated in The Bell Curve.

The Wechsler scale, introduced in 1939, provides a verbal and performance measure.
This test yields an I.Q. score that expresses an individual's intelligence compared with a representative group of people of the same age, with the average IQ set at 100. For example, if a 14-year-old does as well as the average 16-year-old, he earns a mental age of 16. This is divided by the child's chronological age (14) and multiplied by 100 to arrive at the IQ score. In this case, the child's I.Q. is an above-average 114 (16/14*100=114)."
The 100 score is given to those who score exactly average within their age group. Even if everyone gets smarter, the average never changes. So by definition there can never be an 'average IQ' of over 100.
This leads me to strongly question the credibility of the article.
Maybe, but the math is ludicrous.
The results, though, the results are probably close. I know that 2 men out of 4 score average or better on IQ tests, but only 1 woman out of 2 does.
This tells me all I need to know about this so-called study.
The average IQ for all people is standardized at 100. (Republicans are all in the triple digits and Democrats are all in the double digits to put the average at 100.) There is no way that everyone in the "sample" could average 115+ on the IQ score. Unless they are using Palm Beach ballot counting.
