Dear Heavenly Father,
I praise You for this day and for Your goodness and grace towards Your children. I praise You that for Your children there is no condemnation and that we stand justified before You because of Christ Jesus our Lord. What we could not do ourselves, He did- and He did once for all. The infinite value of His sacrifice bought our eternal redemption and my praise and glory goes out to You because of the blood He shed for me. Thank You Lord for Your great salvation and for Your grace and mercy towards a sinner like me. You are so Amazing!

Father, I thank You for the blessings of American citizenship, where I am free to come to You each and every day and worship You and praise You. I thank You for a Christian President through whom You have already worked. I pray, Lord, that You will continue to work, transforming President Bush into the man You desire him to be even as You transform this nation into the nation it needs to be by Your power. You are merciful towards us, and therefore I have hope that America can be saved. But our trust and hope is in You for this to be done. With man it is impossible, but with You ALL THINGS are possible.

Protect President Bush today, Lord, and give him wisdom- for he cannot do what he needs to do without You. Guide him and direct him and give him courage all the day through.

Dear Lord, I also pray for Your power to overcome the enemies in the lives of those who pray here daily. For those besieged by doubt, worry, despair, fear, so many evil feelings - Lord, help Your children to know the victory and freedom they have in You. For those who are ill, Lord show them Yourself as healer and comforter. And, for those seeking direction, Lord let Your wisdom flow freely in each of their lives. For You are our God and the only one worthy of our eternal hope and praise. We lay our requests at Your feet and look with steadfast anticipation at the wonders You are about to perform. Thank You Lord, for hearing our prayer and for loving us so. For it is in the precious and holy name of Jesus, my Savior, Lord, and Friend that I pray. Amen.

I pray, Lord, that You will continue to work, transforming President Bush into the man You desire him to be even as You transform this nation into the nation it needs to be by Your power. You are merciful towards us, and therefore I have hope that America can be saved. But our trust and hope is in You for this to be done. With man it is impossible, but with You ALL THINGS are possible.

Father I echo this prayer of DittoJed2. You have shown mercy toward this nation, and we are undeserving. You have given us a leader who is Your child, and who seeks to follow You.
But each of us knows Lord how difficult it can be to maintain discipline in studying Your word and spending time in prayer and communion with You, so I pray today that You would keep President Bush mindful of his need to seek Your face daily, and I pray the same for myself, and for those who meet here daily.

Father, it is our desire to share in Your holiness, that we might be set apart from the evil that is rampant in this world. Mold us and make us Lord, into vessels that are fit to worship and serve You. Discipline us as needed, Lord, so that we might become the people You want us to be, and bring us toward the perfection we will only see when we meet You face to face.

How wonderful it will be to be in the presence of your Son, Jesus Christ, and how I thank You that it is through His blood that we are redeemed so that we will one day bow before the great white Throne to worship You! In Jesus' precious name I pray, Amen.

Mighty God, Everlasting Father,

You have blessed us richly, Lord, and we thank You for Your wonderful love. Only You are worthy of honor and glory, power, and blessing. We come to Your throne of grace with thanksgiving and praise, bowing before the one, true God. O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!

We give You thanks for our country---this land that was founded on Your Word and the promise of freedom. We gratefully praise You for giving us a President who loves You and who seeks You with his whole heart. We thank You for the good work You have begun in him and we praise You for the promise that You will be faithful to him. Father, we ask that You would surround President Bush with Your mighty angels to keep him in all his ways. Place a hedge around him so that no evil may befall him nor any plague come nigh his dwelling. We commit him to You for Your care and safekeeping, confident that You know the thoughts and plans of the wicked one who seeks to destroy him and his entire family. Thank You that You will be with them in trouble; that You will deliver them and honor them; that you will satisfy them with long life and the gift of salvation.

Father, none of us knows what wondrous works You are planning for our President and our nation in the weeks that lie ahead. We do know that as we continue to lift President Bush and America up in prayer, we bring from heaven the touch of Your mighty hand upon our lives, and the power of Your living Word in our country. We are trusting in You for the answers to this nation’s woes, Great God. We know that in You there is truth and gladness. Flood us with the light of Your Holy Spirit, Father, that more and more Americans may turn to You and find eternal salvation.

Be present in our House and Senate chambers this week, Father. Weed out the unfruitful and selfish works of representatives and senators who seek personal and political gain. Change their thoughts of greed and indifference toward the American people and lead them to lives which focus on Your truth.

We ask also for Your guidance in our prayers during the coming days. May Your Holy Spirit direct our supplications as we lift up our nation and its leaders to You. Perfect our words and conform them to Your will, that our prayers may be made pleasing to Your ears. We trust in You, Father, for all the answers that will surely come. In the name of Jesus, our King, Amen.

Father in Heaven, we praise you for your goodness; for in all that you do you show us your perfect love. How good it is to sing your praises. How good it is to tell about your works. Father there are so many things we do not understand, so many things beyond our grasp. I am so glad that we do not serve a God that we understand, you Lord know all things and it is way too much for our finite minds. What a comfort it is to know that you have all of us in your hands. All things are in your control. It brings such peace to us knowing this. Father bless our President in all his dealings, so many things that need to be made right in this country, I pray that he yields to your direction, weather he understands or not, grant him faith. We pray for revival for this country, put a strong desire in our hearts to worship you and never leave you. May we fall on our face before you and repent of our evil ways. Heavenly Father, you know even the numbers of hairs on our head. Thank you for loving us more than we ever deserve to be loved. Help us to each day rely more upon you and less upon our own capabilities. Guide us to the wonderful plan you have for our lives. May we each day be a more perfect reflection of you living in us.

I lift up President Bush and ask for his wisdom and blessings. Build him up to me the man we need him to be. Let him never forget the people he represents. Give him discernement into knowing what will be best in the long run, not necessarily the easiest in the short run. Give him special skill in his words and actions dealing with the economy. Help him make the right decisions to improve the situation. Protect him from all temptations for evil, and build him up through his humility and faithfulness to you.

Lord, please help all of our leaders. They are in power only with your permission. Build up those who will make the right decisions for your people. Remove from office and any position of influence those who spread wickedness.

We long for revival. We trust you for our future. In the precious name of Jesus I pray, Amen

Dear Father, be with those who have been injured today, be with the medical personnel who are overwhelmed with their care, be with the families of those who have been involved, and comfort them. Comfort those who don't know the whereabouts or condition of their loved ones, in New York, Washington, and those on the aircraft.

And dear Lord, please guide President Bush as he meets with the NSC to determine the best course to take in this horrible tragedy. Protect him and his family and administration. And may justice be swift for those who are responsible. In Jesus' name, Amen
