> 34. Police officers have some special Jedi-like mastery over handguns that private citizens can never hope to obtain. Where "jedi-like mastery" includes being unable to hit the broad side of a house (see the santa clarita shootout).

#43: People can't be trusted to own firearms because they will shoot innocent people, which is proven by Barbara Graham and William Raspberry, who are responsible advocates of gun safety.

CORRECT VERSION:

#43 POLICE can't be trusted to own firearms because they will shoot innocent people, which is proven by the fact that about 11% of the time police shoot the wrong person, as compared to private citizens shooting the wrong person only 3% of the time.

Anybody have the source for that statistic? I haven't been able to locate it.

If all guns were taken away, then people would stab innocent people. If all knives, swords, etc. were taken away, people would bludgeon innocent people. If hammers, rocks, and all blunt objects in general were taken away, the universe would be made up of two basic elements: gas and liquid.

It's not the guns, it's the people. It's a fact that there will always be people out there who will kill others. It's also a fact that less people would feel free to kill others with impunity if they had to fear for their own life.

An armed society is a polite society.

If you forgot to add a < /sarcasm> tag, sorry for going off like that.

Thank you for your insight into a problem which gun control advocates do not seem to understand. I have never met a gun that killed or wounded any one by itself. My son was taught not to play with guns and for those liberal gun control parents, if you will teach your children on the dangers of IMPROPER gun handling, you too could have the peace of mind when you go to sleep. For instance if some idiot makes it thru the dogs in the yard they could find themselves in front of my brand new double barrel. Guns and fences makes better neighbors.

A XX44 Hillary Lenin Clinton will demonstrate her police powers of the State early in her Presidency for Life. From February to April 1993 the Democrat Politburo showed all we ever need to know by their rampaging federal firefight into a church home filled with nearly 150 men, women, and children. The murders of Sam and Vickie Weaver at Ruby Ridge were not clear enough. All JBTs need is leadership and sovereign immunity.

Petro-dollars will protect mosques. The Democrat Politburo has done the math and Christians are as irksome as we are outnumbered at the UN.

During The Corruption, Hillary told us that "The Party is the nation."; we are just people, not We the People. Also, we are registered whether our guns are or not. Hillary's 900+ FBI files leverage was child's play.
