yooper ... I so admired what you said that I stole it. After cleaning up a couple of words, I copied and pasted it to all of my local polititicans and media. I sure hope you don't mind, but those words were too good to waste. In the event that one of the media wishes to quote it, I will tell them you wrote it and have them get hold of you by FReepmail. WHAT I SENT:
I'm in favor of trade which will benefit the US, but I feel very strongly on this issue.
The communist Vietnamese have been serial liars over the last 25 years with regard to the fate of our MIA's, and they should be denied normal trade relations until they establish a long term record of compliance with our efforts to account for all MIA's and missing KIA's.
We're still embargoing Cuba for much less for Pete's sake. Viet Nam should be made to pay until they agree to comply. After all, the NVA, Viet Cong and Pathet Lao are all responsible for many MIA's in the first place.
I will vote against any politician, Republican or Democrat, who votes to let these communist off the hook for what they did to our captured servicemen.

There are times when I am so disgusted with Congress, I just shudder. Only seems to happen once a day or so.

Well the House seems to have no problem doing that.
And I guess we will see what the Senate does.
And if Congress approves this bill and sends it to President Bush
We will see if he signs it.
WARNING: To ANY politician who votes for or approves this bill.
I will personally make a list of all the yes votes
and distribute this list to EVERY VFW and American Legion Post
to make sure YOU lose every Veteran Vote possible.
I urge all VETERANS to lobby the Senate
before they pass this bill and lobby President Bush to veto it if it ends up on his desk.
We owe it to our Brothers and Sisters who gave their lives and to all our POW and MIA's.
