I expected at least for some to put their name by their vote. Only Phil Crane and Dick Gephart had the guts to do that.

Thank you for the call to action! One of my reps is John McCain. Maybe he should stop his touting about CFR, and show his true patriotism?

"Opponents say Vietnam persecutes religious and ethnic minorities."
China what? WTO, what?

I'm in favor of trade which will benefit the US, but I feel very strongly on this issue. The communist Vietnamese have been serial liars over the last 25 years with regard to the fate of our MIA's, and they should be denied normal trade relations until they establish a long term record of compliance with our efforts to account for all MIA's and missing KIA's.
We're still embargoing Cuba for much less for Pete's sake. These little bastards should be made to pay until they agree to comply. After all, the NVA, Viet Cong and Pathet Lao are all responsible for many MIA's in the first place.
I will vote against any politician, Republican or Democrat, who votes to let these communist bastards off the hook for what they did to our captured servicemen.
There are things more important than money (gasp!)

Thanks for the info. For the House to pass controversial legislation such as this by voice vote seems awfully cowardly.

Why do you think they passed it on a voice vote?
