Excellent analysis.

The why-did-he-hire-a-lawyer question is bigger than it seems:

He's not wealthy, his children are now unemployed, he's facing loss of his job, yet Condit has hired a high-priced lawyer and is running up an enormous number of hours (accompanying him to police meetings, sitting in on Chung interview, Lowell appearances on television) and therefore an enormous bill.

Also, what's the story behind the change of lawyers?

Would an innocent person hire not one lawyer but two in succession? Innocent people do not risk personal bankruptcy (unlike the Clinton's this guy is not author material) by incurring unpayable liabilities.

I read an article several months ago that stated Abby Lowell was the one that made initial contact with Condit, not the other way around. The article implied Lowell was sent from the DNC and it also implied his services were going to be pro bono.

I don't know if there has been an article about a contract between Lowell and Condit since this article or if everyone is just assuming there is a contract. Perhaps dogbyte12 could shed some light on this.

Keep up the battle dogbyte12 we've got them treed.
