[history]
Rep. Gary Condit will not run for an eighth term in office, a source close to the embattled California congressman told Fox News on Friday.
Condit is planning to announce his decision in the next few weeks, the source said. He intends to remain in office until January 2003, the end of his seventh term.

I'll say it again...this is a stalling tactic by Condit who is betting things will cool off before the end of his term. His odds are probably pretty good, at least in his own mind. He has nothing to lose by stalling. When HE, himself, and not anonymous "sources", publicly announces his retirement, I'll believe it (maybe). He's playing head games with the press and public. The corrupt, evil Dems are expert at this. The press and public are expert at buying it.

"Condit Country" fundraiserSurgeon general should require a warning label on the pack.
I saw Cadee Condit on L. King show. She'd have been a good one in the Jim Jones cult, don't bogart that Kool-Aid, my friend.

Yes, and then other spokesmouths for Condit came out later and retracted the leak, saying it was incorrect and the media had it wrong.
More class and dignity from the DemocRATic Party.

Right you are and seems no one cares about truth, Justice and the American way. There are some like us and on FR plus many more we don't know but, everyone seems to be quiet about the untruthful, disregard of Justice and the commie way. klinton and conditit are two examples.
The 1st post might be right it is a stall tactic that condidit is pulling off. this man has no remorse for the crimes he committed. Poor Chandra what the heck was going thru her mind to marry someone like conditit.

It figures and hope he does quits as he is a pimple on a jack-ass ass. He is aiding in bringing the sick socialist democraps down to the mud where they all slither seeking whom they can devour.

Poor Chandra what the heck was going thru her mind to marry someone like conditit.Well, she was getting on up there at 24 years old.
All the media calling her a "young girl," it used to be 24 was hard to get a husband.

The timing should be perfect to team up as Hillarity's 2004 VP running mate. With this synergistic tag team, they can switch off who will do the shooting and who will do the drag-line to the field.

The congressman reportedly has discussed with his family the option of immediate resignation. But Condit, a member of the House Agricultural Committee, said he has some legislative work he would like to complete before he retires. Yeah, sure. Condit would be dead meat, legally, if he gave up his "congressional shield" while the media still have their eyes on this story.

I think your right and it is a stall tactic as he tries to shake the watchdogs newpeople and what better way to achieve this. Throw the hounds off the trail.

LOL and 24 used to be what Dylan sang as the life was short lived in the 1800's. My grandma was 14 when she married my grandpa. 50 was old age. Conditit looks like the guy from the Tales from the Crypt. You know the one wth more bones showing then skin, i'd swear they are the same.
Chandra must of been in lala land to fall for this sick demented man.

Boy that could happen as Americans fall for the socialist propaganda fast. If hitlery was to get elected America would be in deep trouble and i would hope another Sirhan-Sirhan was out there somewhere.
To: Pete53
This story might be bogus and we will have to wait and see. conditit is the many with many faces.

Yeah, sure. Condit would be dead meat, legally, if he gave up his "congressional shield" while the media still have their eyes on this story.
He will spend massive amout of money fighting it in court like the scum OJ. conditit will get it in the arse sooner then later.

hope another Sirhan-Sirhan was out there somewhere.Nope, there's only one Sirhan-Sirhan. Only one who comes close Bhutros-Bhutros Gali.

Ah, yes, the many faces of Gary Condit: family man, adulterer, glad-handing ward heeler, cult leader, Sawney Bean-esque pater familias, rock'n'roll bad boy, one percenter, business card-dispensing flirt, psycho serial killer, blow-dried empty suit, rubber-clad ringmaster of congressional gang bangs. He's a regular chameleon. Turn and face the strange...ch..ch..ch..changes!

Yep your right just wish someone would be a copy kat.

I agree. Since he sees no responsibility for his actions, and can not see that people have no respect for him, of course he thinks this will die down and he can pull the wool over everyone's eyes. This is the Clinton mode you know. How could people ever see them for what they are?
