Bush Bashing By A Desperate Left
NewsMax ^ | September 6, 2001 | Dan Frisa

What an onslaught of personal, harshly negative invective being spewing forth daily from the Left and their comrades in the elitist media!

It’s been non-stop, at a near-dizzying pace on any issue they think will gain traction.

And all of this from the very same hypocrites who so vehemently – and falsely – charge Republicans with being mean-spirited and evil.

It shouldn’t come as any surprise, because the Left knows no decency and has no shame. What is amazing is the relentless and desperate nature of the attacks.

From the economy (read: Clinton’s recession, which began in October) to Kyoto (which the Senate turned away by a unanimous vote) to the ABM Treaty (which ceased to have any relevance when the U.S.S.R. disintegrated) to missile defense (which frightens the Russians, the communist Chinese and their friends at the New York Times) to the surplus (which should be returned to taxpayers, especially during a slow down) to the Middle East conflict (which the President wisely has maintained must first be realistically addressed by the parties themselves before U.S. involvement) to the President’s supposed "lack” of intelligence (notwithstanding that he graduated from both Yale and Harvard, unlike Junior Gore who flunked out of divinity school and mysteriously ‘left’ law school) to any other issue, real or imagined, the Left attempts to bang the President about the head and shoulders in a sick attempt to belittle him.

The President, to his great credit, hasn’t allowed any of these attacks by the Leftist elite to affect his policy considerations a single iota. He has a strong sense of self, something sorely lacking on the Left, which bolsters him amid this smelly chorus of personal disparagement and seems to steel his resolve.

There is a valuable lesson to be learned from George W. Bush: ignore the Left and do what’s right by the people. Republicans in Congress and elected office at the state and local levels should follow his lead, for all too often they seek to please their natural enemies rather than working to best them by enacting their agendas.

That’s the best way to deal with the Left: by simply ignoring them and moving forward, leaving them squealing in our dust, to the delight of a grateful electorate.

President Bush is NOT going to " give away " citizenship to OLLEGALS. That was a trial ballon, out of Fox's camp, trying to get it out, to bludgeon Bush with. So try to keep abreast of things, and not blindly swallow what others write here but read the facts.

The tax rebate was a small thing ; yes. Then there are the cutting of the marriahge penalty tax, the death taxes, and a capitol gains tax cut is in the pipeline. He didn't send Powell to grovel in Durban, and even pulled the VERY low levelers ( who had absolutely NO authority to do anything but observe and lobby, BTW ) out. There's more , that he has done, but listing them won't do any good.

If you and anyone else expects miracles, in the first week, month, 100 days, then you don't know what it takes to get anything passed and into law. Bush has actually a much better record, thus far, than Clinton had in the same time fram , as to getting things accomplished.

Go look up what Ike, Nixon, et al got done during the first 8 months of their first ( or only ) term in office. Then come back and tell me how Bush measures up.

If you imagine that a president can just say something and it is done, then you haven't even a tenuous rasp on how this country works, nor reality.

WRONG ! Texas made my point and refuted your's. He also proved how absolutely blind , to how things work, you are.

Let's for a moment play a game; shall we ? Pick someone, from your list of presidential candidates ( Pat, Phillips, Keyes were your choices) and imagine that he has been made ( none of them can be elected ! ) president. Both Houses remain the same.

Phillips has absolutely NO help in either House ( I'll give you Paul, if you want him as an ally ) and his caninet is frlled with a qaggle of people who have never held positions, nor have a working reationship with anyone in D.C. He's has no experience in writing a budget and has 1 mavrick supporter . I admitt to knowing little about this , you can have your convention in a mailbox party/ candidate, except that he stands by the Constitution. Fine, where does that get him ? NO WHERE !

Pat's up next. Babe is made something or other... oopppsss she can't be, not after the nepotism bill got passed after JFK & Bobby. Not one GOPer would serve in his administration. Pat thinks he could rule as an emperor would; but he can't. Fracious would be putting it mildly. He'd build a wall on the Mexican border, or could he ? There would be no tax cut. He would rile the Europeans, China, and dollars to diyghnuts, Impeachment proceedings would begin. You better believe that he'd be thrown out. His V.P. choice was a massive blunder. Fulani would have demanded her due in some post, and then you'd have a racists, frminist, self admitted Commie trying to make her psitions valid.

Keye He'd talk a lot, make a LOT of people uncomfortable, angry, and get nowhere fast. No president can overturn Roe V Wafe. So, what would Alan do ? What could he get done, with no backing, no previous kowledge in governance ?

It's all just mental masterbation, pipe dreams, and no reality with you guys. Bash, trash, and shred me, others, the president to your heart's content. In the scheme of things, it will get you nothing. You come here to state your positions, but in the way in which the fringers do it, they make enemies . Hearts and minds are hardened against you, NOT converted . Where once , at least some of your positions were shared by most of us, in many cases, that doesn"t matter anymore.

Here's a truism for ya ... your numbers look BIG on this site, and yes, the fringers are VERY vocal ; however , out there, in the REAL world, you are a tiny minority and the GREENIES have more of a power base than you do.

I believe in free speech ; unlike YOU !

I also know what I am talking about and am weary of seeing so many who don't know nor understand political reality. Ebbui has set in, and that is what you see in my replies. This is all so new you , but not for me.

"Sorry guys. Bush is an absolute nightmare for conservatives. He is destroying this country:"

Laughable... truly a kick ass comedy act tonight, right?

rofl...

Oh, I see, you actually beleive that?

Omigod... get the laughing jackets and the thorazine... let the convulsions of incredulous laughter come forth!

Since when did W, become more powerful than our Constitution? Really? Now W is laughing hysterically at you too... you gotta be trippin dude(ette)! I think you might have injested some of that special sauce that Alan Keyes has been serving up.

You keyes/ buchanan supporters are like a broken "talking barbie" doll. The same half dozen diatribes at the pull of a string over and over and over again.

Rofl...again.

And you DO imagine that 13 colonies, which were then states, with a mostly white population , with a totally different level of technology, culture , and mores, is the same as this nation is today. Yes, that is how you see it , but that isn't reality. The Founders were elitists. They had a rather low opinion of the common man. Do you also want that attitude to prevail ?

You really don't know what you are saying, when you claim that you want things to go back to the 18th century. This is a different world. Do I want less government ? YES ! Do I want less taxation ? BIG YES ! Do I want to go back to the 18th century ? NO ! Can we ? NO!

For the trillionth time, we did not get to where we are now, in one fell swoop. It was done incrementally, and incrementally is the only way things can be changed.

Some historical facts here, might help. Abortion is a big sticking point for most people here. Let's start with that. Abrtions have always been done. So has infanticide ; though Partial Birth Abortion is THE most horrific way . President Bush said that he would sign a boll which stops this. That's a good first step. You may not like what he said about stem cell research, but he pushed that envelope harder than any previous president ever has , and got EVERYONE to accept that a fetus is a baby, is a human, and nt a lump or mass.

Taxes are a buggaboo. He's working in on it.

This is NOT a world in which we can or should be isolationistic. This is NOT the 18th century. I'll leave the military complex and a standing army of musket shooters alone.

In the 18th century gossips were put in the stocks , adulterers and catamites jailed. Is this where you want to go ? Just asking.

The government was smaller, and this nation was smaller. Many agencies can be made smaller / done away with, but that takes time.

I suppose that you don't want public schools. Am I correct? There are many people who shouldn't homeschool and others who won't do anything. There IS a better way to handle the school problem.

Okay, that's its. You really don't care anyway. All you want to do is complain. I have yet to see a Bush basher make one constructive argument here.

That sentence was NOT mine ! I don't talk nor write ike that. Never have I typed : " Bush is a good man... etc. "

You either can't read, or don't know what you are doing ; most probably both.

You are the one who looks patently foolish .

I'm not the one who listed their accomplishments in the political battlefield. That was one of your ilk. I do ; however , know more than he or you do.

Do you have even the tiniest idea how pathetically ill informed yodud sound ? : - )

Most of what you write is unintelligible to me.

Then I suggest you take a reading comprehension course or two... pretty plain to the rest of us... even those who disagree with no pardons... KNOW what they are disagreeing with...

Simple question, can you find your own butt with both hands at once? Can you do it with the lights out? Then NOPardons, who I often disagree with... should be easily perceptible to you.

Your criticisms of Bush betray your attitude of heart. You may be proud of that attitude. That kind of pride is destructive.

Bush is without a doubt the most conservative president we have had in the last fifty or sixty years... and the most vocal christian, and anti abortion president we have had as well... Do you thank your God for that? hell no.. no matter who HE gives us as a leader... your kind whine and moan...

I suspect if the MAN himself, were elected, YOU would find some fault in Him... if he did not follow YOUR brand of religion, or pursue your agenda point by point.

The only hysteria you hear is the hysterical laughter emanating from the room as you "joyless joe" keyester/buchanan supporters foam at the mouth over the "unworthiness" of our best president in the last fifty years...

He IS the most pro life, anti abortion president in our last 100 years. He is also the most outspoken Christian president we have ever had... or is that what bugs you... he is a Christian, but not of your perhaps "foreign headquartered" church...

Do you disapprove of him so strongly because he is not of your particular stripe of Christianity? I think perhaps that is the case. That's really sad.

Sorry guys. Bush is an absolute nightmare for conservatives. He is destroying this country: Considering there might not BE a country right now if Gore got elected, I'd say we ought to be pretty grateful. Perhaps he's just the lesser of two evils to you, I'd say it's a good beginning. Is the cup half empty or half full?

"That's because Bush's policies are leftist. The left cry and scream more in the vein of an insincere "No Please, stop," (As sincere as the cries of a man getting raped by a beautiful woman)while they secretly are pleased to see Bush further their agenda."

This, my man, is one of the STUPIDEST comments I have ever read on FR and you, Sir, are a dumbass.

You just called him "Shrub." That adequately provides evidence of your total lack of independent rationalization.

What evidence do you have that he's:

A) A Liberal

B) Ruining the country (aside from your own nonsensical ravings)

or C) Pushing a globalist agenda?

Come back with some real facts, demonstrate that you are capable of rational thought, and THEN maybe someone will CARE about what you think.

By the way, I've seen you post the same BULL$HIT on other threads. Do you really think it's that great that you have to keep recycling it, or is that all your little brain could come up with?

Perfect. I can see it now, one year, two years, three years from now you Bushophiles will be saying "He's only been president for x-years, for crying out loud!" Admit it, there's no "bridge too far" for you Duh-bya lovers.

Still singing the Croaking Chorus from your masterpiece, "The Frogs", eh Aristophanes?

I just hope they keep non-inviting the left media.

Four or more years of being on the outside and they may get the message.

Treat 'em like dirt ...
