Thanks for the ping. Mr. swheats was just mentioning about beach closures yesterday, he couldn't believe it has actually happened and people are being displaced or is disenfranchised?

Did you are anyone you know give input to be one of the 1.6 million comments who are in favor of the Roadless policy mentioned by EarthJustice.org
Earth Justice Action Center"The Roadless Area Conservation Rule is one of the most important conservation initiatives ever undertaken. Finalized by the Forest Service in January 2001, it calls for protecting 58.5 million acres of the wildest remaining national forest lands."
According to the article we have til September 10th to be heard. How can we use this information to work for us? Unless I'm clueless, it would seem as though all listings and conservation initiatives should be stalled until there have been a full accounting of what's been happening to people and their land.
I realize I'm not a politician so I might not be seeing as clearly. /sarcasm
