2026 Texas Elections, 19 million Texans are registered to vote, breaking record

Registrations are up 2.2% from the last major general election in November 2024, and up 2% from primary elections in March, according to a Friday release from the Texas Secretary of State. The latest figures are also 7.7% higher than the number of voters registered ahead of the last midterm election in November 2022.

Fast-growing suburban counties saw some of the biggest growths since the last midterms, including Kaufman (27% more registered voters), Waller (23%), Ellis (21%) and Hays (21%).

While state data for Tarrant County, a battleground county, showed a 2.6% drop in voter registrations since November 2022, county officials told The Texas Tribune that the state’s figures are incorrect.

According to Tarrant County’s voter dashboard, the county’s latest voter registration numbers are far higher than what the state is reporting — 144,124 more. Based on the county’s figures, the number of registered voters in Tarrant County grew 8.8% compared to November 2022.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

As you are aware, Texas turning blue by such a significant margin represents a seismic shift in American elections. If these new voters are legitimate—and I sincerely hope someone is verifying the numbers—it should prompt some serious reflection within the Republican Party. If Texas did indeed shift, and assuming a substantial portion of these new voters came from immigrant communities, maybe Rubio is one of the few Republicans with an opportunity to be sway them. Even then, repairing the Republican brand within those communities could take an entire generation. Yes, congress gave the country a cold shoulder by not acting on the high cost of living alienating many voters in the process. But what happened in Texas cannot be ignored. The implications are serious enough to raise a much bigger question: Should the Republican Party continue as we know it, the electorate is divided in three and so maybe it is time for the next rendition of the Grand Old Party? I would hope any outcome of any new party formation would have at minimum a foundation of three core principles as the three non-negotiable. That is the protection of life at all stages, Marriage is between and one man and one women, and the protection of parental rights.

New voters are not from down south, they are Californians, Indians, and Muslims.

If Texas had any sense at all they would make people registered as Republicans or Democrats or Independence I don’t care At least you’d keep up who is registering for what party Make them vote in the party that they’re registered in There’s no doubt in my mind that so called Republicans crossed over and voted for dimwits in Texas mainly the Hispanic population

Is you’re point that voters shouldn’t be allowed to crossover and vote for candidates of an opposing party?

A great deal of these “wins” are statistically un-possible. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION is what has “turned Texas blue.”

Learn and repeat the following: “Electoral fraud must be eradicated!” and “Votes from the 2026 midterms elections MUST BE VERIFIED before confirmation!”
