Trump noted Congress would have to ratify the proclamation, and that “no major modifications” would be able to be made to the rooms without approval from Congress.

Indeed. He is the lamest duck of all lame ducks of all time. Can we all agree that no more octenagerian predisdents? Ever.
The Dem’s are going to undo everything Trump has done and bring back everything O’Biden has done.
That’s true.

YOU WANT AOC????
Only if you’re a die hard political junkie.
I wonder if there is some security reason why he doesn’t want the oval office and the cabinet rooms disturbed? Another thought is, what if he wants to do major renovations in other parts of the building? But he wants to be able to say that he carefully is preserving what is important?
I think this is a smart move. We all know that the left will tear down the renovations and new construction, anything that was built (even with zero tax dollars spent). How do we know this? Because they have already done it with the wall. No one should be surprised if they start dismantling all or some construction projects.
Didn’t he demolish the entire East Wing?
Yes and he paved over the Rose Garden.
Not getting it.
I’m sure the Congress who couldn’t pass an 80-20 issue will get right in this
