As I write these words, it is the morning after the election. I have been watching social media go full-tilt wacko from many of my Democratic friends who have been swooning about “the blue tsunami” that swept over the Republicans. Some of them have asked me, with as much a modicum of politeness as they can muster, how much it hurts to watch MAGA go down in flames.
Do these queries evoke a frown? More like a smirk, and not the sort that many liberals might appreciate.
I already believed that Darline Graham would not win the United States Senate race in my adopted home state of South Carolina. The people here are not ones to want a political dynasty, and when Darline was tapped to continue the term made vacant by the death of her brother Lindsay Graham, that is exactly what she became.
Many conscientious conservatives chose to not vote for anyone at all for South Carolina senator. But it’s possible that many more voted for Annie Andrews as a rage-vote against the Republican machine which had been controlled by Lindsay Graham and his loyalists for much too long. It had become a thing ridden with stagnancy. It was time to shake out the tired old blood. Maybe something better will come about now that the Graham faction has been effectively ended.

The meat of this new article is that the Democrats have nothing but their hatred of Trump and his supporters. That is not going to translate very well into real statesmanship.
They ran on their hate. Now what do they do?
There will be endless congressional hearings in their fishing expedition for anything to punish the Trump team and his supporters. I think Elon Musk will need to get an apartment in DC.
” Congratulations Democrats. Now What Do You Do?”
They will enact idiotic programs that are doomed to failure and then just blame the nearest Republican for their failure as usual.
Musk needs 24x7 heavy duty guards. They are threatening to kill him…for the cause.
They’re gonna do what they do every time they are in power.
Punish everyone they see as an enemy, tear down everything traditionally American and most of all, blame Republicans and President Trump for every mess they create.
Sorry to hi jack this (sorry), but something I posted on another thread that makes me believe the real threat that we can solve for in the next two months is reinfecting the Supreme Court:
————————————
This might be the case, and it probably is.
However, reading this triggered something. There is a lot of fear on what the Dems will do. From Mamdani shutting down NYPD anti-terrorism capabilities, President Trump getting impeached, the Sec of War getting impeached, Socialism, I even personally got sucked into a debate on what happens now to AI.
All sorts of things, and I am sure there is merit to all of them and the Dems will attempt versions of all of that over the next 24 months starting June. Lots of time for them to experiment, destroy, overreach.
But all that talk made me feel like there was something important being hidden amongst all that noise, and I think it might be this: the US Supreme Court.
Justice Clarence Thomas (78) and Justice Samuel Alito (76) are the most Conservative (big ‘C’ conservative) on the Court, and come January they will be ZERO way for Trump to successfully nominate replacements.
It is very possible the Democrats could control the Senate until the next decade.
The biggest advantage we have as Conservatives is not the seat at the White House, but knowing that we have proper American patriots who are pro-Constitution seated at the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, the two who are the e most consistently Conservative are quite old.
Maybe all the talk and noise is to avoid proper focus on that one thing.
Yes, I know maybe I’m being paranoid on this, but people are paranoid on this forum on 10,000 other things, and I’d be happy that this is the one I’ve decided to check under my bed for.
We all know the Dems will pursue revenge, shut down NYPD anti terrorism activities, try to sour the milk in granny’s fridge. Not much we can do about that now …maybe if more people voted our way on Tuesday, even if it meant holding their noses, but that is in the past now.
I could be crazy (I probably am), but maybe it would be great if President Trump explored nominating one (maybe two) Justices that are youngish, Conservative, and can be part of his legacy even when he’s gone.
Maybe people like Senator Cruz: yes, I know some don’t like him, but he’s a Conservative. I also know him stepping down would mean another Texas seat at risk of going to the Dems, but it’s too late and Texas is already Blue for now.
Whatever choice is done, I hope people don’t forget that come January 2027 the Supreme Court is at stake.
Texas is now a Messican colony. A Messican Princess, Hiniejosaho has neutered the entire herd of Texas cowboys. We’re all either a steer, a queer or a Dopey Opie Tailywacker now. It’s the new Breakfast Burrito/Chips and Salsa State.
Then again, we regularly hear complaints on Free Republic that Trump’s Supreme Court choices were too liberal.
So if Trump picks nominees to the court who are too liberal, what makes anybody think that any future choices of his are going to be strong conservatives, like Alito or Thomas?
Theoretically, if there were a quick retirement, Trump would still have a Republican majority in the lame duck session to confirm a replacement. But then you still have the issues of his choices being too liberal and not conservatives in the mold of Alito or Thomas.
I have friends who tend to vote Democrat who know better than to ask me that. Not because I would beat them to a pulp for being an a-hole, but because we respect each other. (I guess what I'm saying here is if do that kind of crap to you, are they really your friend?)
I try not to associate with Leftist whack jobs.
I do agree with you. I think President George HW Bush’s nomination of Justice Thomas was a more Conservative nomination than any made by President Trump. However, any nomination by President Trump now before January 2027 will be more Conservative than any made under a Democrat-controlled Senate.
Running on hate, and promising AN OPEN society, and gov’t money/programs for all, at the expense of the working man in a nation of whores, is hard to fund long term!
Their plan. Finish off America.
That’s what happens when a political party keeps a “big tent”. You get a lot of low IQ, destructive, dangerous and violent azzholes running it. Lowest common denominator for democrats is pretty low - like the eighth circle of hell low. They don’t give a rat’s furry butt about the country.
How will the Demorats make my gas, grocery, house payment, ETC lower? Will they focus on investigation Trump or actually helping Americans?
Will they try to enact the save America Act or open the borders to illegals again? Or enact idiotic programs that we cannot pay for and blame the nearest Republican for their failure as usual.
Where do we go from here??

“Now what do they do?“
Pillage the treasury like every politician does.
Well, we got an 18 pack of eggs for $2.19 the other day. Gas is already dropped to $5.14 near us so......... Oh, they had ZERO to do with it though. They’ll have their grimey paws full of impeachment papers as soon as they’re sworn in. Most of them will NOT abide obeying the things they’ll be sworn to obey.
“Being a US citizen doesn’t make one an American!”. rktman 2026.
Be lots of traitorism occuring.
😠🙏👍🇺🇸
>>I think Elon Musk will need to get an apartment in DC
Musk and every other Republican should just ignore congressional subpoenas and inquiries. Publicly refuse to participate in a political kangaroo court.
I doubt they will allow a nom for supreme court to get thru the senate before new members are sworn in..Rinos, et al
