Donald Trump focused on his lavish White House ballroom in his first public appearance since Democrats seized control of the House and Senate.
The President largely ignored the disastrous midterm results that have left his political legacy in jeopardy, instead showing off the construction of his $600million vanity project to reporters on Wednesday morning...
Trump invited the press to view his ongoing construction efforts and spoke at length about the progress on his personal vanity projects.
'It's going to be not only one of the biggest, but it'll be the most beautiful ballroom, I think, anywhere in the world,' he said.
Trump displayed a large piece of steel behind him, where workers had signed it as it was going to be the last steel beam used in construction.
He also signed the beam, placing his personal stamp on the project as a group of White House staffers and workers applauded...
Trump said he found the projects personally rewarding as he focused on making the White House more beautiful.
'I like it, it's good. For me it's relaxing,' he said. 'I like beautiful things.'
He previewed the installation of 'magnificent columns' that would be the 'creme de la creme' in the Corinthian design.
Trump gave reporters a tour of the structure, commenting on the process as workers raised the last beam of steel into the ceiling.
'Envision chandeliers all over the ceiling, envision marble floors, this is going to be the most beautiful room,' he said, describing it as 'a piece of art.'
'See the thickness and size of that steel? You can land anything on that roof but it will be all drones,' Trump added.
He also described the new building as 'droneproof' and 'bulletproof.'

Nothing much will change from the White House
Trump will continue to govern the same he and all other presidents govern with a congress hostile to their agenda.
and therefor didn’t require house approval.
Obligated us in the Paris climate accord, for the sole purpose of disadvantaging the USA.
Trump will continue his presidency in the same vein as Clinton/Obama
Internationally, he hasn’t required much interaction from Congress and will likely continue to issue executive orders on the domestic agenda.
There really wasn’t a plan for major legislation in the next two years, and he will have to accept congress will absolutely not approve any nominations during the same period.
Everyone will continue to carp about the other side, as has been the hallmark of this Great Nation for the last 250 years.
There ain’t going to be coalition of 61 votes in opposition to the veto pen and an impossible hurdle of 67 votes for removal is just so much craptastic hoping from the other side.
Sohhhh….Ain’t nothing changing except the whining.
Onward to 2028
