The civil rights group says it is nonpartisan and doesn’t get involved in candidate races but is spending heavily to support Kotek. You can tell the governor’s race is close when supporters of Gov. Tina Kotek take unusual measures to maintain Democrats’ nearly 40-year monopoly on the statewide office.
First, the carpenters union in September dumped an unprecedented (for Oregon) $10 million into a PAC and have so far given $750,000 of it to Kotek. Then, on Oct. 15, the ACLU of Oregon announced it had formed a political action committee—something the organization confirmed it had never done before.
“ACLU of Oregon Democracy PAC will educate Oregon voters on candidates’ positions,” the group said in a statement. The ACLU of Oregon operates two nonprofit entities: a 501(c)(3) non-profit that focuses on litigation and public education on civil rights issues, and a more political 501(c)(4) that lobbies the Legislature and works on issues such as the Equal Rights for All ballot measure that died earlier this year.
(A key difference between the two ACLU nonprofits: Contributions to the 501(c)(3) are tax deductible, while those to the 501(c)(4)—a so-called dark money group because donations are unlimited and typically undisclosed—are not.)
The Oregon ACLU has pledged to spend “nearly $1 million,” or nearly a third of the 501(c)(4)’s 2025 revenue, on the Nov. 3 election. On Oct. 21, the PAC reported an expenditure of $574,000: half as “independent expenditure in support [of] Tina Kotek” and half as “independent expenditure in opposition [to] Christine Drazan.”

Isn’t Kotex a Lesbian?
Well, if there was ever any doubt it’s now clear who the commies support. And yes, there NEVER was any doubt.
The ACLU, has not, for more than sixty years, ever been “non-partisan”...if they ever were at all.
Yes.
No amount of money can make her likable. They are desperate to hold onto power but money isn’t everything.
In Apparent Conflict With Its Mission and History “
that’s hilarious. The ACLU has shared a bed with the rats for decades.
OR is protecting all of the SPLC/ANTIFA funding and training sites? a REP Gov will bring criminal charges ett?
The ACLU was founded by Communists so what else is new?
Exactly thank u
Democrat support of Tina Kotek proves they don’t ever want to solve any problems.
There is significant profit to be had in maintaining the problems rather than solving them
She also refused to permit the Fed no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security...etc. to apply to Oregonian taxes.
We are trying again to elect a Republican for Governor...expect Portland returns to wait until they know how many votes they need to guarantee a Dumocrat win.
Unions are primarily demoncRAT mouthpieces.
Yes, a married lesbian who created a job for her wife and PAID her for doing NOTHING!
Gov Teenie Kotex is running slightly behind Christine Drazen(R) and the Islamocommies are panicking! They will do anything to win!
Oregonians are fed up with 30 frickin mail in ballot years of demoncrat governors!!
The average Oregonian despises Tina Kotek.
30 years is a lot of time to build a fortress especially with mail ballots. With only a slight lead can the Republican win?
