The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were conducting enforcement activities at the Santa Cruz Main Jail on Saturday morning.
Federal immigration agents had arrived at the facility in an attempt to take an individual into custody, but left without detaining anyone, according to a department social media post.
“The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting public safety, maintaining community trust and carrying out its responsibilities in accordance with California law and applicable county policies governing cooperation with federal immigration authorities,” the department said.

It would appear that the local chump Clark sprung the illegal ahead of time before the feds got there...on purpose. Gonna get ugly.
The Sheriff’s Office secretly sneaked out the illegals ahead of the visit from ICE and hid them in a safe space.
Santa Cruz county is a giant liberal s**tshow. No doubt they sequestered all the illegals somewhere ICE wasn’t allowed to go. The county sheriffs there are at the beck and call of the ultra liberal county supervisors. I’m surprised they even let ICE in.
But then again county jail there is a revolving door anyway, so not much chance of ICE finding anyone anyway.
I loved living in that beautiful area and put up with its bulls**t for as long as I could
