President Donald Trump has handed Republican Senator Susan Collins a timely economic boost in the competitive Maine Senate race, unveiling support for the state’s lobster industry and targeted tariff relief as new polling shows her drawing level with Democratic challenger Troy Jackson.
A Fox News Poll found Collins and Jackson tied at 49 percent among likely voters, replacing the four-point Democratic advantage recorded by Marist Poll earlier in October.
The surveys measured different electorates, meaning the results do not establish a direct four-point swing, but together they suggest a contest that has tightened during its closing weeks.
Supporters of both Senate candidates appear firmly committed, leaving turnout and a relatively small pool of persuadable voters to decide the race.
Newsweek emailed the Jackson and Collins campaigns and the White House for comment on Saturday morning outside of regular working hours.

HOW MANY “POLLS” ARE FAKE?????
Same old song... when an election finally comes near, the MSM backs away from propagandizing, and starts telling it like it is.
As Rush pointed out many times the fake polls tighten up at the end to save their credibility. They use the skewed numbers for as long as they can to help the rats but move toward the true numbers at the end. Repeat.
Fox has been among the very worst pollsters for years, but they have done absolutely nothing to improve their polls, suggesting they are satisfied with the quality of their polling organization.
And the race 'tightening' seen as the election gets closer is BS.
Proof: Did YOU ever meet a Republican who wasn't able to make up their mind between Kamala and Trump until 10 days before the election? LOL - no way. Or a democrat? Pollsters get away with this crap because the MSM is equally self serving in the lies and excuses they tell themselves.
