An Islamic Supreme Council of Canada delegation will be heading to the Vatican on Wednesday to meet with Pope Leo XIV.
The council has a focus on strengthening interfaith relationships since they allow everyone of different religions to live together in a peaceful and cordial society, said chairperson Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy, from inside the Green Dome Islamic School in northeast Calgary.
It is a national Islamic organization that manages 42 Islamic centres, schools and food banks.
In 2017, Soharwardy was part of a delegation led by the Progressive Muslim Association that travelled to Vatican City and met with the late Pope Francis.
“The message that we wanted to convey to him is that we are human beings and we see the value in our relationship regardless if we do have a different belief system,” Soharwardy said. “Those differences should not divide us. Those differences should inspire us to create dialogue, sit down, to understand each other, to work with each other. That is the way the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, all his life did.”
This year, he will lead 22 delegates from various parts of Canada to meet with Catholic leadership to help build better relationships between the Christian and Muslim communities.

I’m waiting for the first example of muslims meeting with, and cooperating with, another faith that doesn’t exclusively benefit the muslims.
I was friendly for years with a terrific Muslim family in LA. Two brothers from Lebanon opened a tea shop near Detroi early in the century. Worked hard, opened more and soon established a few shopping centers/ Successful Capitalists. One son became an MD, the other a movie producer, Their mother gave me wonderful ideas for a book I was working pm. her daughters were normal girls. Not a veil in sight.
Many years after the tea shop was opened, the company sold a chain of shopping centers they’d bought. Terrific gifts to US charities from proceeds.
If all Muslim families were like this, we’d welcome them with open arms.
There have been two leftist popes in a row. Let the next pope be an African. African bishops see Catholics murdered and persecuted by Islamists. Those bishops know that kissing Islamic butts is not going to make them stop murdering.

As far as Mohammadians are concerned “better relationships” with Christians means making sure Christians’ heads are not connected or “related” to the rest of their bodies.
Has the Pope heard the term Taqiyya? Islam is not compatible with Christianty and certainly not with the west.

One can practice taqiyya and the other mental reservation and not a word of truth will have to be spoken. It’s an opportunity to find common ground by issuing a few fatwas and anathemas and then celebrate by beheading and burning some Protestants.

Read of this meeting with Luciferians (Allah’s Disciples) makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. During the Crusades, Catholic Crusaders and the Knights of Templar had to drive the Islamist from the gates of the Vatican. Now, they are back and invited into the Windswept House and rather than being a student of history the Pope sits down with those who are an anathema to the Catholic and Christian faith and the Western World. Does this register fear in anyone?
No Knights Templar this time around, unlike the last time.
