US President Donald Trump was asked Thursday whether he trusted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and appeared to dodge the question.
“I don’t trust anybody, honestly,” Trump told the right-wing US cable news outlet Newsmax. “In the world of politics I don’t trust anybody.”
Trump has recently been pressed several times on whether he will make an endorsement ahead of Israel’s October 27 election. On Tuesday, the US president claimed that he hadn’t thought about doing so, but that he might.
Netanyahu has long touted his close ties with Trump in electoral campaigns.
The US president also told Newsmax that Israeli officials want him to be involved in Netanyahu’s reelection campaign.
“Well, they’d like me to be. Yeah, they’d like me to be,” Trump said when asked if he plans to involve himself in the election, adding that “the people of Israel, they say if I ran for prime minister, I’d get 99 percent of them.”
Trump added that he and Netanyahu have “a very good relationship” and hailed their “very successful… military partnership” against Iran.
When asked about potentially dropping massive conventional ordnance on Iran, the US president specified he isn’t considering nuking the Islamic Republic.
Trump said he may employ a munition known as the MOAB, short for Massive Ordnance Air Blast but is often referred to as the ‘Mother of All Bombs,’ which he described as “an extremely large bomb. It’s like a tiny nuclear bomb.”
“I wouldn’t use nuclear, we don’t have to,” he stressed. “We are the greatest nuclear power in the world.”***

Correct answer.
Trust, but verify.
Lives depend on it.
Trump: “I don’t trust anybody, honestly,”
that’s what happens after being stabbed in the back [and front] 10,000 times ... after all, it’s so true that: “In politics, one makes many false friends and many true enemies.”
Yes. That was the right answer for that situation, where sounding decisive is more effective than sounding diplomatic. He pretty much had to respond that way.
Trump’s prime responsibility is to protect, defend and promote the well being, security and future of the American nation and its people. It was not unreasonable to view a bizarre theocratic regime that constantly chanted Death to America and was acquiring intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear capabilities as a legitimate threat. Likewise Netanyahu, the secular leader and defender if the Jewish people also correctly viewed Iran, which was not only implacably hostile but funded and sponsored actual attacks both conventional and terrorist on Israel as an existential threat. Of course Netanyahu would seek by hook or crook the aid of its most pwerful ally to depose the pathological, evil mullah regime. However it was up to Trump to decide if it was in the best interests of America to make the sacrifices and join him. Then it was up to Trump to be sure the job would be conclusively completed. Sadly we know how it all turned out and the regime change will be that delusional, America hating Democrats will take power.

He didn’t dodge the question.
Trump hails his and and Netanyahu’s “very successful military partnership” against Iran.
That’s nice.
I like Netanyahu; he is a super salesman for Israel.
IIRC, Netanyahu has made his take-out-Iran pitch to every US president, starting with W.Bush; ALL SAID no UNTIL Trump II.
Netanyahu met Trump on February 11, 2026, to discuss U.S. talks and policies regarding Iran.
On February 12, 2026, the USS Ford carrier, near Venezuela, was ordered toward the Mediterranean.
I understand Netanyahu’s position; good for him.
Trump position, not so much.
Marry in haste, repent at leisure.
You have lost the plot if you believe Trump trusts Putin. No sane person actually trusts Putin.
Well, a few very brave and determined Air Force guys...in the middle of the night...after flying non stop for hours....sleeping on their plane....changed that.
We pushed them back for a time at least.
Trump did exactly what he was supposed to do...protect the USA and the world at large.
Except Netanyahu has been making the same argument about the Iranian nuclear program and he said it as early as 1992 that it was going to take Iran around 3-5 years to produce nuclear weapons.
I don't blame Netanyahu.
Not so sure that President Trump made the right call here.
We'll find out in 17 days and hopefully we'll hold on to the Senate.

It has been sad watching you descend into #TDS.
Trust no Common Man.
.
That’s correct Mr. PRESIDENT.
