Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed Wednesday that former special counsel Jack Smith and the Biden Justice Department obtained extensive personal information on more than 639,000 individuals, including Republican donors and supporters, during the Arctic Frost investigation.
The disclosure suggests federal investigators went beyond their stated mission of examining President Donald Trump’s efforts to challenge the 2020 election results.
According to Grassley’s findings, investigators obtained spreadsheets containing names, birth dates, home addresses, email addresses, political affiliations, employment information, donation histories, credit card information and donor habits.
The records reportedly covered a 16-year period, from 2005 through 2021, which Grassley said extended far beyond the scope of Smith’s investigation.
“This is further evidence that the Special Counsel operation was designed to map out the Republican Party,” Grassley said.
In a memo to the Judiciary Committee, Grassley detailed the extent of the information collected.
“Jack Smith’s SCO and Biden’s Justice Department obtained spreadsheets containing Republican campaign donors, supporters, and detailed personal voter information in various formats, totaling over 639,000 individuals, at minimum,” Grassley wrote.
He added that more than 148,000 spreadsheet entries were identified as donors, most of whom contributed relatively small amounts.
The investigation also obtained information about Trump campaign personnel, potentially including volunteers.
In another revelation, investigators acquired records involving sales of red Make America Great Again hats, including customers’ identities, purchases and home shipping addresses.
The findings follow Grassley’s September disclosure that Smith’s team subpoenaed approximately 5,000 checks written by Americans who donated to Trump’s campaign.
Grassley obtained the latest records through congressional subpoenas seeking information about the special counsel’s efforts to collect data on Trump-aligned organizations.
The disclosures intensify Republican concerns that the Biden Justice Department’s investigation extended beyond potential election-related crimes into the political activities of ordinary Americans.
Grassley’s findings establish the breadth of the data obtained, although they do not independently prove that investigators used the information for partisan political purposes.

What were Jack Smith and Merrick Garland really trying to do?
Ok....so what’s being done about this??
Who signed off on all this blatantly unwarranted governmental invasion of privacy?
I smell a class action lawsuit in the making.
A civil class action lawsuit seeking damages for invasion of privacy by Smith and his out of control gang is in order with a class size of 600,000+ Trump contributors.
Merrick Garland, possibly Joe Biden and judges like Boasberg.
Have the addresses ready for the fleets of busses with shackles in them to roll up to.
What were Jack Smith and Merrick Garland really trying to do?
.....
Let’s remember Helen Chenoweth-Hage and Doctor Laura who spoke out against Billy Clinton suddenly had all their dirty secrets aired.
Learning the secrets of your political opponents was the reason the Clinton administration had the 900 FBI files in their “ big brother” computer
“Ok....so what’s being done about this??”
I can only guess that they think this kind of stuff will motivate people to vote. The fact that they never do anything to anyone discourages voters, but they don’t seem to understand.
When one considers what was done to John Eastman for nothing more than being a lawyer (IMO), you have to wonder what should be done to someone like this.
At the very least, he should be barred from ever holding any federal office again - the mechanics of how to get there? I don’t know. But whatever the means, it should be used (or be put in place), so as to prevent any future abuse of power, like this.
I suppose that Grassley can or should make a referral for prosecutorial misconduct, abuse of power, and denial of rights under color of law; have the DOJ bring the case, and take it from there. If he’s found guilty, he should be disbarred, and be prevented from ever being in the federal government again. As I recall, there was some dispute as to whether or not he was properly appointed in the first place.
Biden’s Justice Dept obtained spreadsheets containing Republican campaign donors, supporters,
and detailed personal voter info in various formats, totaling over 639,000 individuals......minimum.
To put these people away, you are going to have to dot every “i” and cross every “t” on the paperwork- otherwise their scheisters will go after the smallest error to get them off.
Wasn’t there a US communist who said all they need to do is kill a certain percentage of the population, and the rest would follow?

Are they not public records
Exactly. These stories just make me realize how useless “Republican” governance is. They make a lot of noise for the press and nothing happens.
Only voter registration party affiliation, political contributions and home address. Credit card information would not be.
I want a “Judge” somewhere to issue an opinion that we can all SUE Jackboot Smith individually for illegal search and seizure!!🤬
