British Prime Minister Andy Burnham on Saturday told Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky he had his “complete solidarity” after he clashed with US President Donald Trump over a diesel deal with Russia.
In a call between the two leaders Burnham told the Ukrainian president he recognised that “the past 24 hours had been difficult for Ukraine and reiterated his complete solidarity”, according to a readout released by his Downing Street office.
The leaders discussed “the importance of maintaining pressure on Russia”, with Burnham making it clear the UK “would continue to strengthen its sanctions on Russia and to take further action to constrain the Russian war machine, building on new UK designations against Russian targets announced this week”.
They agreed to meet in person in the coming days, the readout added.

The UK talks big but they’re cash strapped.
Was he shouting “Allahu Akbar!” when he said it?
So when does the UK write a big fat check to Z?
Lilliputians will never lear.
Maybe America could buy Diego Garcia, on the cheap.

And, as an added bonus, Ukraine would easily “take care” of the totally awful Muslim invasion. Yes, I know, the Ukraine is led by a corrupt gubmit - but it’s not a tenth corrupt as is the Labor/Socialist party of the UK.
This is coming from a Yank who lived in the UK and loved it back when it had competent leaders and a civilized society.
Naturally!
Their Modus Operandi: “What ever President Trump wants, we at the UN demand the opposite!!!”
Send in the British navy to take over the Black Sea. Wasn’t that Liz Truss’s idea?
Don’t you need a couple working ships to secure seas?
