Over the course of an hour-plus hearing Thursday, US District Judge Timothy Kelly signaled skepticism about the Trump administration’s arguments for allowing President Donald Trump to ban CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House.
Kelly, who was appointed to the bench in Trump’s first term, did not announce his decision on the media outlet’s request for a long-term order that would maintain their access to the White House while their legal challenge plays out. But the judge repeatedly told Justice Department attorney defending the ban Thursday that he was bound by DC Circuit precedent – including the precedent that the administration was objecting to.
For now, the judge is extending for a few days his temporary restraining order that requires the White House to grant the journalists entry to its grounds while he works on his decision on whether to issue a preliminary injunction. He eventual preliminary injunction ruling – which will come Tuesday or sooner, he said – is likely to be appealed.

The press does not have a “right” to be at WH events any more than I do. Doesn’t stop them from reporting on things.
So, anyone up for a visit to the judges house? Not like he can say who does and doesn’t come in right? Assclown.

Another amateur Dipsh*t Court judge that can’t stay in his own lane. This isn’t any of his business. The boy needs to go back to sacking groceries.
Why are dumbass “judges” allowed to keep the “media” out of their courts?
The White House is approaching this in the wrong way. Their first demand should be to have the judge explain how he has authority over the White House decision to even consider it a case.
Next, the White House should consider placing White House personnel in the judge’s office as observers if the judge claims authority over internal Executive Branch decisions. Whatever became of the three co-equal branched of government.
Next, the White House should just tell the judge to go to hell.
Kelly was one of Trump’s worst. No doubt Mitch was behind it.
Maybe the Judge is right on the issue of access to Government Property for Americans. President Trump should remove ALL SECURITY from Federal Courthouses immediately so Everyone has equal access.
Honest questions here. Who decides in the first place who gets a seat in the press room because there are only a limited number or spaces. And second, who gets to vote someone out of the press room?
OTOH, since ALL of the video media have already self-banned to show “support” for the worst of the lying scum that President Trump banned, and the world hasn’t ended, then should the scum prevail with their hand-picked kommie judges, just go ahead and eliminate ALL video media access IN the White House ... and it that doesn’t work, then let ‘em in, but don’t supply any officials such as press secretaries that they can attack ... i guess, they could always just film each other then ... [it would be fun if they then sued to demand someone showed up to be interviewed, and then should they prevail with that, send in mute janitor ... and so forth ...]
So, can anyone with a podcast now sue to access also? They are journalists also.

If the press has a right to be in the White House than anyone who shows up has the right to be in the White House.

The public should see the incredible access the media actually has to the White House.
Each of the networks have their own permanent tents set up along the fence between the White House and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (part of the WH complex). When you see someone giving a report with the lawn and WH in the background, they are reporting from one of these tents.Then they have a huge messy pile of ladders tucked in a spot between large hedges and the WH building. Those are for photographers and videographers to stand on so they can see above the heads of the reporters in front at various events.
Then all media members get crammed inside the press briefing room, which has a permanent platform at the back for TV cameras. The ladders come out there too.
The media mob get to attend all public events in the WH, setting up in the back of wherever the event is being held. Out come the ladders again.
Lastly, there is a permanent media stakeout at an area the call "Pebble Beach." This is outside the entrance where various big shot visitors exit the WH to talk to the media. When you see one of those gaggles of Congress members standing outside the WH speaking to reporters, this is where it happens. This also is where most foreign big shots arrive to and depart the WH.
But, of course, all that is not enough for the big networks. They need to have their designated seats up front in the press briefing room too, the arrogant bast@rds.
