SEATTLE — Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson is facing criticism over remarks she made during a recent forum on fascism, Israel and Gaza.
Wilson appeared Sept. 24 at Town Hall Seattle with authors Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor to discuss their book, End Times Fascism and the Fight for the Living World.
At the event, Wilson praised the authors’ work and said she was “proud to share a stage” with them. After a video about a proposed vision for redeveloping Gaza, Wilson said the imagery juxtaposed “the genocide in Gaza” with “that AI-generated paradise, where someone’s obviously going to make a lot of money selling condos.”

Exactly why I always say that Dems do not vote on facts...simply how they feel at the moment.
You have to wonder why someone at her level of government would be making comments on things WAY outside of her preview. There aren’t enough local problems that she’s responsible for to talk about? The answer is she’s trying to get psychological benefits from the expected positive feedback. The audience response for her statement about leaving billionaires, “Well, bye.” is what she’s looking for. (Everybody laughed and applauded.)
If she has any self-awareness at all, she must be feeling very stressed and out of her element. But if her IQ is below room temperature she probably feels she’s doing wonderfully well.

Why do Mayors feel the need to comment on foreign affairs? It’s always counterproductive.
If I was child Katy I would be pissed that so many people voted for me and put me in office. The left vote now is about Trump hate and nothing more and these kids like Katy should be mad at the voters for making them do the job.
